"Y'all going out for another rumble? Y'all just had one a couple weeks ago!" I said as I watch all the boys out on their jackets and grease their hair to get ready for another fight with the Socs.

I have absolutely no idea what could've happened that's makin all the greasers fight them Socs, again.

"Can't y'all grow up and just talk about it? it's gettin real old." I said, still watching them get ready to leave the house. "Besides, it's real late."

No one would stop to talk back to me. Everyone was just so busy and distracted with themselves. Eventually Darry replies,

"Hey Y/n, I know you don't like it when we do all this but, I'm sure this'll be the last time." He says.

"But, I wanted to take y'all to the movie house tomorrow. Now y'all can't even walk to get a drink. Then I have to babysit y'all." I said, crossing my arms and looking away from all of them. This caught Dallas' attention.

"Aw c'mon, honey. We can still go to the movie house tomorrow! I promise we'll be in good shape. Just gonna get a couple cuts and bruises. Trust me." Says Dallas.

Never trust Dallas Winston.

"Oh okay, wanna play that game? Alright, you come back here, I'm not gonna clean up your cuts. who does that sound?" I said.

"Like it's hard to do that. C'mon guys, Tim's gang is waiting." Says Sodapop, ignorantly.

They all run out. Only people left behind is Darry and Ponyboy.

"I promise, we'll be back by midnight, okay? Watch the house for us, please?" Darry asks, handing me the house keys. I snatch them out his hand, still with a bitter look on my face.

"Alright fine. Please be careful. You too, Pony. Just take on the little guys." I said, standing up to walk them out.

"Don't worry about me, Y/n. My new blonde hair should scare them away enough." Says Ponyboy, trying to cheer me up.

"Well, we better get goin'. See ya later, Y/n." Says Darry as he kisses me on the cheek and rushes out the door. Ponyboy waves as he follows behind his older brother.

I lean on the doorway, watching them walk away to the park together and taking another sip of my beer.

The boy's barged in, bruised, cut, drenched from the rain, and out of air.

"Win or lose?" I asked. "We won!" Said Steve, enthusiastically but out of breath.

They all sat down, tired. I continue to watch TV. "Ah Jesus, my knuckles are bleeding." Says Dallas.

"I probably lost a tooth or something, and my nose is bleeding." Says Steve.

"My sides kinda hurt." Says Soda. They all look at me.

I look back at them, taking the beer bottle off my lips. "The first aid kit is right there." I said, pointing to where it is. "Help yourself."

Darry gets up to get it and gives everyone a band-aid. "Y/n, can you help me put this on?" Said Steve.

I scoff. "No."

"Alright,.I'm sorry for not listening. Now will you please help us? We're all in pain here!" He said.

"You put yourself in pain."

"Look just help us will ya?" Says Dallas. I huffed as I got out of the couch and took the first aid kit and started bandaging everyone up properly. Dallas was the last one I bandaged.

Dallas looks up at me with a smirk. "You couldn't help but to help us did you, Y/n?" He said, pouting his lips.

"Shut up or I'm not even gonna be waiting for you here next time." I said. He was holding his laugh as I could already tell the rest was too.

"Okay, I'm leaving. Never mind the movie house tomorrow. Y'all can barely stand up as it is." I said, taking my jacket.

Dallas jumps up but stops and winces in pain from standing. He continues to walk towards me, "Hey hey, were sorry okay? But rumbles are the only way the Socs want to make things even. We didn't want to look weak." Says Dallas as he stops me, grabbing my wrist. I roll my eyes.

"I'm getting tired of bandaging you guys up, you know that right? Learn to clean yourselves up. Damn." I said.

"Oh it's just better when you do it for us." Said Steve as I heard muffled laughs.

"Okay I'm leaving." I said again. They all stopped me again.

"Okay now, y'all stop bothering Y/n. She's right anyway. She done treated y'all like babies for too long now." Says Darry.

"Thank you, Darry." I said, entering the house again and sitting back down on the couch. "How about I drive you home, Y/n? You know, Socs are probably still around and it's late. Can't have you walking home at night alone." Darry offers.

"That'd be nice, Dare." I replied, accepting his offer.

"Hey, I can walk-" Dallas starts but immediately getting cut off by the boys.

"No!" They all say, sternly.

He quickly brings his hands up while looking at everyone. "Alright, jeez! I ain't gonna do anything!" He says.

"You gone flirt with her is what you're gonna do." Said Two-Bit with a raspy voice.
