[Harley's POV]
I just left my house to go hang out with Raph. As I walk along the path, I hum one of my favorite songs. Centuries, by Adam Levine. I know I have a boyfriend but dang he is smexy!
I hop down a sewer drain and walk along, the stench nipping at my nose. A few minutes later, I walk into the lair. Raph is beating up the punching bag. Mikey, playing video games. And I don't see the other two.
I walk over to Raph. "Hey babe." He says, punching. "Sup." I answer. I hear him mutter something to himself but I don't understand. I lean in. "What are you whispering?" I ask.
He looks over. "Nothing. Just some stuff you wouldn't understand." He says. I raise an eyebrow. "Lay it on me." I say, gesturing for him to tell me. I rolls his eyes.
"Okay. I was saying... Subete no watashi no kyōdai wa okuraserudesu." He explains. I tilt my head. "You know Japanese?" I ask. He nods. "I'm half Japanese." He tells me. I nod back.
"Never knew that." I confess. "Can you teach me some?" I finish with a question. He sighs. "I guess." He gives up. I smirk. "Okay now.." I impatiently insist that he starts.
"Kon'nichiwa watashinonamaeha Raphaerudesu." He says. My face goes blank. He laughs. "You would say the same thing except with you name..." he tells me. I nod. "Okie dokie... conichiwah watishanonamahmayhah Harley!" She says.
He looks down and puts his hand on my shoulder. "Close." He lies. "Really?" I ask. He laughs. "Nah." He admits. I roll my eyes. "Eh, I don't need to know Japanese anyways." I shrug.
"What if one day I want to bring you to Japan with me?" He says. "Then you better interpret for me." I laugh. "I'm a turtle. I'm pretty sure they would freak out." He tells me.
"Oh yeah." I say. "So does that mean we can NEVER go?" I ask. He waved his hand up in the air. "I'll happen to let you know, that my bother.. is the great Donatello. He'll think of something." I laugh.
"Oh yeah." I say. "Now back to the lessons." He babbles some more non-sense and I terribly try to repeat it. I'm so hopeless.
(Okay I literally just found out that Centuries isn't by Adam Lavine. 😂 I just ruined the entire paragraph.)
