Gin

45 minutes have passed when I felt the eerie presence, yung parang nakikilabutan ka pero wala naman talagang andyan.

Maybe it's part of the pregnancy, but even for a pregnant woman it would be weird.

"Tina? Nakita mo rin ba? parang may nakatingin ata satin kanina.." I asked, grabbing her hands. Yet she ignored me and sighed.

"Maybe it's the stress Gin..mabuti kung umuwi nalang tayo at magpahinga.." Tanging wika niya. Napatango lang rin ako at padabog na sinundan siya.

"So, about the baby...will it be a girl or a boy? Personally I wanted a girl, but of course your opinion would be best..." nasasabik niyang ani.

I hummed at her opinion, thinking about the possibilities of the genders, but regardless, I don't really mind kung babae o lalaki man ang magiging anak namin ni Darius. I just want us to be happy.

"I'm fine with either Tina, hindi naman natin dapat pinipili yung mga magiging anak natin diba?" I replied to her statement, in which she nodded. " Right, but anyways Zenriel said that he will be home shortly since he doesn't want to miss dinner with you.." She brightly said, I watched as she walks over to the paper bags, carefully examining each clothing that we bought.

"Do you think you could trust someone you really love Gin?" She slowly asked, changing from a cheery to a gloomy tone.

"It really depends Tina, but I'm sure I could trust them even when they're at their worst." I carefully answered her question, hesitating on the words that came out of my mouth. "Even when they are a bad person?" She asked again, pressing me into the matter.

"Y-Yes? Anong ibig mong sabihin Tina? may tinatago ba si Darius sakin?"

"Maybe, but know this Gin..don't be too naive, because if you are? You will walk towards danger without even knowing it." She sighed, while folding the clothes.

The sound of the doorbell immediately changed the gloomy aura that surrounds our topic earlier, giving me the courage to breathe in relief.

"Uy! Taray naka shopping na sila oh!" Darius exclaimed while hugging me, I just silently returned the hug listening to his fast paced heartbeat.

"Are you okay Gin? You look like you may faint." Geisler asked, his eyes trailed to Tina then back to me. "Ah wala lang yan, napagod lang kami sa lakad, that's all" Tina quickly replied, also hugging her husband.

We all sat in front of each other while the aroma of our foods were indirectly distracting the boys. Mukhang wala ata silang kain.

"Can we eat now?" asked Geisler, Tumango lang rin kaming lahat at tahimik na nagsimulang kumain.

"So.." Darius started, wiping his mouth with a table napkin. "Me and Gin will have weekly check-ups with her ob-gyn , although I can't promise you that I'll always be present, since I have to take care of the company's import and export of medicines." I sighed at him but payed no mind. His company will always be the priority, I mean hindi naman ako nakikipag kompetensya, inaabala ko lang rin yung kalagayan niya.

"Shouldn't you rest for a bit Zen? The company won't disapear if you could take a day off even if just half day. Besides, can't you take care of your girlfriend? Mukhang di na rin siya natutuwa sayo." Sabat ni Geisler. Pangiting tumango lang rin si Tina, mainly because she may want to take a day off too.

"Fine, fine pero I can only take half a day, Gin deserves to spend more time with me am I right? Amica mea?" "I- of course....relax ka lang muna, I'll take care of you for the rest of the day tomorrow." Dahan-dahan kong tugon.

"Tsk you two will be the death of me, Tina will take care of the company then, since all she has to do is supervise the employees." Geisler, again said, cutting off the moment.

"Really?! Just the two of us then!" Tina then, winked making him roll his eyes. "No way woman, I'm gonna take the day off too." He replied leaving us there in the table.

11 pm na nung umuwi ang mag-asawa, turns out Geisler and Tina we're supposed to celebrate their 7th year wedding anniversary.

But I guess we kind of ruined it, since we literally gave them two responsibilities that aren't even necessary for them to do.

Is your uncle bothering you again?" I asked, suspiciously.

He sighed, putting his phone down.

His chestnut eyes were staring into mine, it held disappointment and regret. Two things that made me confused.

Silence engulfed the two of us as if it was in slow motion, something in his mind was keeping him from opening up to me.

I just wanted to make sure that he's okay...

"Gin--I don't think I know what you mean--" His sentence was cut short when I sat into his lap, propping my elbows on his shoulders.

"Are you sure? It's okay if you wanted to tell something...I won't be mad, I promise.." I whispered in his ear, burrying my face in his neck.

I felt him shudder, his breath were short and his hands were rested on my waist.

"You don't have to worry about anything Gin...as long as I'm here you're safe.." His voice were soft, like whispering to a delicate flower. Several fingers trailed up to caress my face.

Eyes of brown held assurance repeatedly murmuring that it's gonna be okay.

My lips slowly trailed down his collarbone, making him grip my hips.

I missed this...

Our once distance was closed again.
