Chapter 23

Yesterday was like a memory, a good memory infact. The kiss was still there, lingering in my lips.

I finally showed her how I feel.

But what about her?

I sat up, rubbing my eyes. Napatingin lang ako sa alarm clock, it's just 6:00 am in the morning, before my morning alarm.

Naalala ko yung mga ginawa namin kagabi, we basically watched Harry Potter all night long, but I don't think we finished it.

Tumayo lang ako at lumabas, my blanket sliding off of me. I wore my shorts shrugging off my shirt.

I only wrapped my towel onto myself, walking outside my room.

Bawat yapak ko ay bumubuo rin ang aking kaba, paano kung galit siya sa akin? paano kung hindi niya naalala yung kagabi?

Natigil lang ako sa pagiisip nang naramdaman ko ang malambot na balahibo na dumadaan sa aking paanan.

I kneeled down to Sylvester's level, patting him. The black cat purred in affection, his tail is swaying from left to right.

Carrying him, I made my way downstairs smelling bacon and pancakes.

Napatingin lang ako sa may sala, at nakita si Gin na naka balot ng habol habang nanonood ng Harry Potter.

Ibinaba ko lang rin si Sylvester, at dahan dahan na tumungo sa sala.

"S-Si S-Snape.." She sobbed, blowing her nose. I then smiled at her, also sitting on the couch.

"What about it?" I asked, clearly teasing her. Tiningnan lang niya ako ng masama at ibinaling ang kanyang tingin sa TV.

Ah..yung scene na pinatay ni Nagini si Snape, and yes dati hindi nga ako maka move on sa scene na yan eh.

It was the most heart wrenching scene out of all the movies.

Inakbayan ko lang siya at ngumiti. She looks like a tomato in her state.

"Tahan na..it's just a movie.." I stated casually earning a death glare from her.

Chuckling, I rubbed her back, standing at pulling her from the couch. I pressed my lips against her, savouring her scent.

She smiled against the kiss, pulling away and blocking my lips using her hand.

"Kumain ka muna, tapos mag toothbrush ka rin. You smell like Gin." She cooly said, making her way to the kitchen.

"I always smell like you.." Panunukso ko, habang siya naman ay napairap. "I meant Gin na alak, you need to stop your drinking Zenriel. Or Else." She firmly stated.

Oooh. I love it when she calls me that.

"Correction. I'll only drink occasionally..How about that?"

"Deal.." She said sitting down.

I sat infront of her, she who is focused on her phone while I, secretly taking long glances at her.

For once I'm happy.

I know that this is temporary, but I'll make sure to cherish this moment and whatever comes into the future, I'll always remember this.

Us with nothing to pretend, nothing to worry about, no anything.

Just us.

"I can feel you staring, what's wrong?" She asked, putting her phone down. She tilted her head just enough to capture my attention.

"No, It's nothing, carry on.." I mumbled, playing with my fork. Napabuntong hininga lang ako, Hindi ko kasi maalis sa aking isipan ang namumuong kaba.

Alam ko naman na lahat ng ginagawa ko, may consequence, but what if malaki yung kapalit?

"Your food is getting cold..you should eat it.." Aniya at inilapag ang kanyang cellphone sa lamesa, at simulang kumain.

"Who are you texting?" I asked, arching my brow. Dali dali naman siyang umiling at ngumiti.

"Oh it's nothing, chineck ko lang yung company na pinagtratrabahuan ko noon, they said that the company was under renovation." Aniya habang kumakain.

I see no hints of lying to her face which is no need for suspicion.

"Alright..but Gin, I need to go somewhere, ugh. Work business something, Uncle Jordan also needs me there.." I said, standing up.

Gin's face shifted into seriousness, her eyes narrowed. She also stood up, walking infront of me, blocking me.

"Are you sure that it's not some trap?" She asked, crossing her arms. I sighed. Being the representative of a bigger company is hard, but I heard that they would promote me to a Senator, which made me even nervous.

I know that Uncle did'nt want me higher that him, so I hope that this promotion, can't cause any trouble.

I can't risk this.

"Yes, I'll be fine Gin..uuwi ako dito ng walang pasa pangako." I whispered, pecking her cheeks and making my way upstairs.
