Darius
The sound of humming can be only heard inside the room, the curtains were all closed and the temperature of the room started to drop.
I groaned, squinting my eyes at the digital clock infront of me, reading 10:14 am. Sighing, I groggily sat up, my feet touching the cold floor.
I took a minute to process the atmosphere around me.
and then there was a knock on the door.
"Come in!" My hoarse voice echoed around the room. The door opened to reveal Gin smiling at me.
"How was your sleep?" Pagtatanong niya. I rubbed my eyes, sighing in response.
Napairap lang siya sa akin at tumungo sa may bintana. Her eyes lingered at the neighborhood outside. She then opened the curtains widely, making me shield my eyes from the light.
"Ugh...can you please close that?" I asked, annoyed. Way to ruin my mood talaga.
"Oh come on Darius, you should go out more often.." She lectured, her eyes trailing around my room. I rolled my eyes, of course I'm going out. Iyan nga trabaho ko, to be the public figure of my company.
Napatingin lang ako sa kanya, she was still astonished about my room, I mean anong nakakamangha sa kwarto ko?
"Anyways, we should plan about your meeting with your uncle, para prepared ka na rin for tomorrow." She wearily said still staring into space. I arched my brow, following the direction of her eyes only to rest at a painting.
Gin
"I painted that.." Darius murmured, his voice was holding back amusement.
I grinned again, who would've thought that he had so much compassion about this kind of activity.
"You know..painting makes me feel independent about my choices, that's why I paint things in my free time." He added and made his way outside, leaving me to stare at the painting.
It's a woman with a salmon dress, a fedora covering her face. She had red hair and a petite body, the freckles complimenting her face.
The girl in the painting was holding a cage, inside there was a heart laying there, waiting to be set free.
My mind was processing the meaning of the painting but then it all clicked.
The girl in the picture was Darius, and inside the cage was his heart. He wants to be free of something, but I don't know what.
"Gin! halika! I want you to try this dress!" He shouted breaking me out of my thoughts.
Dali dali rin akong pumunta sa aking kwarto, at napanganga sa kanyang hawak hawak na dress.
It was a red dress, a soft, comfortable and crimson giving it the attraction. The off-shoulder dress was enough to catch my breath. Gosh parang na love at first sight ata ako.
"I was rummaging around your outfit, and I can't find the right dress. But thankfully this was here and it caught my eye." He explained admiring the dress. I snickered and stood beside him also admiring the dress.
"Parang gusto mo ata suotin Dar? I mean I don't mind?" I said obviously teasing him. The chesnut orbs of his held great excitement. He then immediate closed his eyes and focused his gaze on me. He holds the dress towards me measuring it.
"I think hindi 'yan bagay sa akin, how about you try it?" He asked giving me the dress. Napatango lang ako at tumungo sa restroom.
I carefully stripped my clothes, still admiring the dress.
I stared myself at the mirror, frowning. Do I deserve all of this? I mean this is too much. I feel like Darius was spoiling me.
I should'nt.
I grabbed my clothes to put it on, but then the door suddenly opened, revealing an impatient Darius.
"Ang tagal mo!" He yelled irritatingly, completely ignoring my naked figure.
"Fuck! Darius labas!" I fumed covering myself. Napairap lang siya at nilapitan ako. He grabbed my clothes throwing them away.
"Ugh! did you just threw my clothes?!" I tried to push him but he would'nt budge.
Quickly grabbing my dress he pushed into the wall, the dress only covering me. "Wear. this. fucking. dress." He growled, his voice vibrating through my ear.
I gulped.
my body was trembling around him, his eyes was like piercing through my soul. He was awfully intimidating.
My cheeks was probably red from all of this.
"Get out...please.." My voice croaked, my hands carefully ghosted above his shoulders. But no matter how I pleaded, he would'nt listen.
He turned his back, crossing his arms and shrugged. My jaw clenched at his actions. Seriously, ano nanaman ang nakain niya?
I slid on the dress. The fabric was comfortable and it hugged my figure. I reached for the zipper but lucky me, I can't reach it.
"Let me guess, you need help?" He asked, his back still facing me.
I can clearly see his smug face even though I can't see his face.
"Tsk ano kaya kung tulungan mo nalang ako?" Sarkastikong ani ko. Napangisi lang siya at humarap sa akin. I pointed at the zipper on the back of my dress, and gladly he zipped it up, his cold hands against my warm back.
Facing him, gesturing on my dress and waiting for his apporval. Napatango lang siya at ngumiti. He eyed me from bottom to top, and boy I was conscious of myself.
"I like it..it suits you.." He whispered lowly.
I blushed at his comment, but quickly ignored it to avoid suspicion.
We walked outside the bathroom, him sitting on my bed, and I admiring myself at the mirror.
"What's the plan?" I asked wiping off the invisible dust around my skirt. He sighed and turn to look at me through the mirror. I waited for his answer and he was still thinking on what to say.
"I'll introduce you, and you greet. That's it." He coldly answered. Glaring at nothing. I wrinkled my nose, and sat beside him.
"What if your uncle starts a conversation?" Tanong ko. I rubbed his back in comfort, but he tensed in response quickly averting his gaze at me.
"Just..just act normal...Gin, please, please don't get near him.." He whispered, his breath short. I then nodded sighing.
His face inched closer to mine while I was unconsciously closing in. It was like an invisible magnet between us.
But of course I came back to my senses, and pulled away immediately, hugging him instead.
"Don't worry...I'll be careful...I promise." I whispered.
