Gin

I'm fucking confused.

Since when did he learn how to care for others?

Napabuntong hininga lang ako. Well I guess I kinda like this side of him.

Damn it.

"Gin...there's no way he would remember your friendship." I muttered to myself.

Oo nga naman, he forgets everything. He did many things. Many bad things.

Hindi ko na alam kung thankful ako sa kanya, for living under the same roof. Or for getting me into this mess.

And yes, I am still hesitating, whether to help him or not. Because first of all.

Hindi kami magkaibigan.

So that's why nalilito ako sa kanya. In the past he was rude. When we were kids we're unseparable. And now? I don't know. Somewhere in between?

I coughed and coughed again. Holding my neck. I feel like can't even speak.

When was the last time I drank my meds?

I held my head to soothe the pain, but sadly, it's not working.

The door opened revealing Darius, holding a tray and with a concern on his face.

"It's getting worse Gin..why not go to the hospital? for check up?" Tanong niya. Umiling-iling lang ako.

"No, It's okay and besides may business trip ka bukas makalawa."

"Mas importante ka kaysa sa business trip ko Gin..." Mahinang aniya. Napangiti lang rin ako.

When he said that, I felt a warm feeling inside.

Gosh what are you doing Darius.

"A person's health is important so you should eat soup and drink your meds. Para hindi na lumala ang sakit mo." Aniya ulit. Basically ignoring his previous comment.

I tilted my head to look at the clock. It's already 12:34 am. Seriously, anong oras ba natutulog itong baklang to.

"What? no sarcastic remark?" He asked again. Napalingon ako sa kanya.

"Andyan pa ba yung supladong bakla? Saan si Darius Guilberra?" I said while arching my brow.

"Still here. And fyi I'm not in the mood to joke around Gin. Nag bi-beauty sleep yung other side ko noh so please don't wake her up." He sarcastically replied.

"I guess I woke her up then." I jokingly said.

****

After our banter I finally ate my soup, Jesus it tastes like piss.

"How does it taste? Pwede na ba ako maging perfect wife?" Pagtitili ng bakla. Napairap lang ako sa kanya.

"No. Parang ihi eh.."

No I'm kidding, It tastes delightful. Darius actually took cooking lessons in our earlier days.

Napanguso lang ang bakla at padabog na umupo sa aking kama.

"Joke lang naman Darius, masarap naman eh..." Patawang ani ko. Nilingon lang niya ako at umirap.

Aba't!

"Daig mo pa yung babae kung may regla.."

"You just made fun of my soup!" He huffed.

I stared at his broad back for a while.

Gosh...for a 28 year old who acts like a child?

Why do you look so Handsome?! ;-;

"Thank you for the compliment sweetheart." Baritonong aniya.

I blinked. Shet. Did I said it out loud?!

I quickly ate my soup and drank my medicine.

"Tsk! wala naman akong sinabi ah!" Pagdedepensa ko.

He laughed and winked at me. "Yeah right."

"Matulog ka na kaya? Pagod ka lang ata." Wika ko ulit.

Tinitigan muna niya ako at ngumiti.

"Okay. Goodnight..Gin.." He said. His chestnut eyes illuminated by the lamp.

Grrr... Nakakafrustrate yung kagwapuhan mo.

****

Darius

Finally...

After a loooooong day I finally get to sleep.

I just wish I could be more less than this kind of job.

Because being a CEO of a company basically requires more than a normal employee.

A leader? psh naaah I'm less than that, of course, growing up under uncle Jordan's roof...well not easy.

Being pressured, and your family expecting so damn much about you? I guess so.

I went cold, shutting people out, everyone was hurt. Especially Dia.

I hurted her over and over again, but why does she still want me to be her brother?

I shrugged at my thoughts.

I was supposed to be the perfect child, the one who will bring great legacy to my family.

Dia is more than that.

She is strong, carefree, she got away with it. She's free to do anything.

Then why can't I?

*****

God..it's cold.

The moment I opened my eyes, I was met with the cold breeze of my air conditioner. Great.

Napabangon lang ako sa amoy ng pancake. Gin..

I made my way outside to meet a more healthier Gin.

"Wow, you're better now right?" Pagtatanong ko. Napairap lang siya at inilapag ang breakfast ko.

"Yes. And if you might ask? it's because there would be no Adrian coming and barging in just enough to make my blood boil." She sassed. I chuckled at her remark and ate my breakfast.

"Wow ha, grabe pala yung inis mo sa mokong yun." Ani ko. Tumango tango lang siya sa akin at sumabay na rin para kumain.

There was silence besides us chewing our food and clattering of utensils.

"Darius." She called.

Her warm gaze was enough to sent me off the edge. I raised my head to look at her.

"About..your..offer." She hesitantly stared at me.

"Yes. about my offer?" I asked.

She simply smiled at me and nodded.

"Papayag na ako, and I'll accompany you to your business trip." Aniya.

Then suddenly I stood up and hugged her.

"Thank you..." I whispered. She chuckled at me and rubbed my back.

"I know that your company meant so much to you Darius, at kailangan rin kita bantayan sa business trip mo, baka mawala ka." She joked.

Even though it sounded like a flirt, I'm still grateful that she finally accepted my offer.

"Huwag kang mag alala Gin, there would be no monkey business between us." I said and let her go.

"Siguraduhin mo lang yan Darius, but what about your family? In their eyes, Tina is your girlfriend." Wika niya at umiling. Ngumisi lang ako at tumawa.

"I took care of it. As long as hindi nila malalaman ang sekreto ko."

"I'll mask my identity if I have to. And you're helping me with this Gin. There's no turning back."
