Darius

Napahinga ako ng malalim nang nakita kong naglakad si Rachel sa pasilyo, this is the time where I know that my sister is walking down that aisle. I don't know why but I just don't want to imagine my sister growing up without me.

We seemed so close during our younger years, but when Tito took me I just turned into a different person.

I just hope that Dia knows that her kuya still loves her...

"They grow up so fast..don't they?" Sir Tyron, Dia's previous teacher said. Napatango lang ako sa kanya habang si Rachel ay napatingin sa direksyon ko.

"I guess so.." Walang Malay na ani ko at napangiti. Nilingon ko lang si Tyron. Ahh yes of course.

I can see regret and sorrow in his eyes.

"Let's talk later Tyron..I want to know your side of story.." I added, turning my head to wait for the bride to come.

Tyron kept silent while I sighed.

Of course he and Rachel can never be...

I heard the rumor that Rachel had a crush on her teacher when she was in Junior High, and of course rumor lang naman 'yon.

But I never expected it to be Tyron out of all people.

Yes, Tyron Legaspi, his parents were such assets towards our company. Hindi ko naman inakala na magiging guro lang ni Dia yung anak nila.

A spoiled rich kid who wanted nothing but power, became a teacher? Yeah. Right.

My thoughts were interrupted when the sound of the creaking door finally opened, revealing my sister, wearing her sparkling white dress.

I guess mas kumikinang na siya kaysa Kay Edward ngayon.

That girl hated twilight with all her heart.

All of our heads turned at her, it was very nostalgic, even for me. Nilingon ko lang si Charles.

His eyes were glued on my sister. The way his eyes brightened when she walked closer to him.

Wow..I just want to say na sana all.

I was completely astonished at her.

The way she walks...it was all

Elegant.

Wala na akong masasabi..

I found my lips raising, making a beaming smile at her.

In times on darkness, she was there to light me up, na parang alam ko kung ano ako, no more judgement, no more pain, just her.

Just her.

Everything was blurry, I didn't noticed her giggling beside me. But then I took her hand and whispered to her.

"Ang Ganda mo girl..pahingi naman ng beauty." Biro ko sa kanya. Napatawa lan siya sa aking biro at napatingin sa Pari.

"Dearly beloved, we have come together in the presence of God to witness and bless the joining together of this man and this woman in Holy Matrimony. The bond and covenant of marriage was established by God in creation, and our Lord Jesus Christ adorned this manner of life by His presence and first miracle at the wedding in Cana of Galilee. It signifies to us the mystery of the union between Christ and His Church, and Holy Scripture commends it to be honored among all people."

"The union of husband and wife is intended by God for their mutual joy; for the help and comfort given each other in prosperity and adversity; and, when it is God's will, for the procreation of children and their nurture in the knowledge and love of the Lord. Therefore marriage is not to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly, but reverently, deliberately, and in accordance with the purposes for which it was instituted by God." Ani ng Pari. Ipinikit ko lang ng saglit ang aking mga mata pagkatapos ay binuksan ito ulit. Napatingin lang sa akin si Dia, pag-alala ang bumalot sa kanyang mukha. Tumango lang ako sa kanya, sinyales na ayos lang ako.

"Into this union Diana and Charles now come to be joined. If any of you can show just cause why they may not be lawfully wed, speak now, or else forever hold your peace."

"I charge you both, here in the presence of God and the witness of this company, that if either of you know any reason why you may not be married lawfully and in accordance with God's Word, do now confess it."

Nagkatinginan lang kami nang nagsalita ulit ang pari.

"Diana, will you have this man to be your husband; to live together with him in the covenant of marriage? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all others, be faithful unto him as long as you both shall live?"

Ngumiti lang siya at tumango.

"I-I wil..."

I chuckled, my eyes deep in hers.

"Charles, will you have this woman to be your wife; to live together with her in the covenant of marriage? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all others, be faithful unto her as long as you both shall live?"

"I will.."

The priest gave us a warm smile then turned to the audience.

"Will all of you witnessing these promises do all in your power to uphold these two persons in their marriage?"

The audience grinned.

"We will." Each of their voices rang through my ears, I chuckled, catching her attention.

"In the name of God, I, Charles Michael Sarmiento, take you, Diana Zerene Guilberra, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death. This is my solemn vow." I almost whispered, only for her to hear.

She sobbed, making me laugh silently.

Her tears were almost falling.

In the name of God, I, Diana Zerene Guilberra, take you, Charles Michael Sarmiento, to be my husband, to have and to hold form this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death. T-This is my solemn vow." Her hands were warm on mine. I held it tightly, reassuring her.

There was a pause after that.

Darius

"Look at them..they're so inlove.." Kyle whispered, I turned my head at him patting his back.

"I know I accepted this..but I can't handle the fact that I'm the reason of this..it's true that she deserved better..but I just can't.." He added, I smiled sadly, understanding his point.

"Maybe you also deserve better Lian..someone who will love you despite of your faults.." I advised. Hindi lang siya umimik at napalingon sa malayo.

Geez.

It's different, seeing a person like this. Yung nakikita mo kung anong totoong nararamdaman nila. Yung alam mo yung gusto mo pero nakakasakit na pala sa iba.

I just hope for the best.

"Diana and Charles. Having witnessed your vows of love to one another, it is my joy to present you to all gathered here as husband and wife..." The priest paused for a bit, turning his head at Charles.

" You may kiss the bride.."

He smiled widely, leaning closer to Dia, I held by breath .my heart racing through this pause.

He pressed his lips onto hers, as they share their 10 second kiss, I sighed.

The kiss was short but I bet it felt forever for them.

I guess they tied the knot.
