Chapter 20

Darius

I furrowed my eyebrows, groaning.

What happened?

I sat up, rubbing my eyes. I recalled what happened last night, frowning to myself.

I noticed the weight beside me, Gin who is sitting on a chair, her head laying on my bed.

God I love her...

I stared at the mirror, frowning at my state. There was a lot of wounds for her to tend, so she must be tired and fell asleep.

I tried to stand, but my feet won't let me. Uncle must've hit me to hard.

All my body is sore.

Ughhhh...

I lay back to my bed, waking Gin up, startling her.

"Oh...you're awake..okay ka lang?" She asked standing up. I gestured her to sit down. She's tired, and I don't want her taking care of me when it's supposed to be her vacation.

Yes..

Aside sa business matters ko dito sa London, I figured out that I'd take her here, for her to relax.

Ever since their company closed, she tried so hard to find a decent job, but Mama insist to let her work.

As my personal maid.

But I don't treat her like one.

I guess I don't want her to act so civil towards me.

Gusto ko lang naman na maging close kami, kagaya nung mga bata pa kami.

But I guess hindi na mangyayari yun.

I turned my head towards Gin, her eyes staring at her phone. She looked serious.

Hindi ko naman maiwasan magtanong.

"What is it?" I asked. She lifted her head to look at me then back to her phone.

"It's Andre...he wants to go out with me again.." I frowned at her. Turning my back on her. My heart sinking at what she said. Obvious naman na gusto niyang sumama, and I can't stop her.

"You should go..." I whispered, closing my eyes. If she wants to be with Andre then it's her decision.

She did'nt reply, but instead walk to the other side of the bed, kneeling down to my level.

"At expect mo naman na iiwan kita dito? hah! in your dreams Darius..I already declined so that I could take care of you.." She said chuckling.

I opened my eyes seeing her snicker.

God, what is she doing to me?

Why is she doing this?

Pretending to be sweet, to flirt, pretending to be inlove with me.

I know that she's just my pretend girlfriend.

but it's getting more realistic.

Ughhh! Get it together Darius. You're not supposed to like her.

"Hey! earth to Darius!" She barked, snapping her fingers infront of me. Her eyes trailing down my abdomen, and I, sat up allowing her to see my body.

"Uhh...kailangan na atang palitan..." She cut herself off, while I got closer to her.

"Anong kailangan palitan?" I teased, smirking inwardly.

She gulped slowly pointing at my stomach. "Y-Yung bandage..." She trailed, avoiding my burning gaze.

I nodded, creating space between us. I sat back down, gesturing her to start.

She silently nodded and began removing my bandage, closing my eyes shut, clenching my teeth at the growing pain.

"Excuses..gusto mo lang talagang hawakan yung pandesal ko.." I joked, to lightened up the mood.

Mukhang seryoso kasi siya simula nung incident kagabi, patawanin natin, baka mastress.

"I'm pretty sure, nasa kitchen yung pandesal mo. Kaya tumahimik ka diyan at kung mabatok pa kita.." Sermon niya sa akin. Naman eh, nagpapatawa lang.

After she removed the bandage, she rubbed some ointment on my abdomen, resulting in my uncomfortable squirming.

She immediately retracted her hands, but I held her wrist, guiding her hand to my abdomen.

I groaned in pain, I think I have some broken bones here and there. But her hands were warm enough for me to forget the pain.

Yeah yeah it sounds cliché, but that's what it makes me feel at the moment.

"If you want me, I'll be at the kitchen- wait- sorry If you need me, I'll be at the kitchen!" Gin said, cursing at herself.

I chuckled, halting her from going outside.

"Hey...how about I take you out tomorrow, bawi ko sayo.." I muttered, enough for her to hear.

Her eyes brightened up at my proposal, hugging me in response.

"You don't have to do this.." She whispered, her tone obviously can't hide her excitement.

I then rubbed her back, smiling to myself.

"But I want to.."

She nodded and left.

Napahinga lang ako ng malalim.

It's a date then..
