"Areum?"
I turned around to look at the hoarse, deep voice's owner. Pale skin, worry written all over his face. He looked better than his usual self, or maybe it was just that I saw him after a long time. Adjusting the black bandana on his forehead, Sunoo approached me.
"I heard about Jaehyun," He halted to catch his breath, placing his hands on his knees as he huffed out air, "And I came here the first thing. How is he?"
I gulped, hanging up the call that was getting dialled, connecting to Juyeon, but in vain. "He's.." I looked at the blonde-headed in front of me with sad eyes, "..good, I suppose."
He nodded briefly in relief before his eyebrows naturally furrowed, "Were you crying? What did I miss?" His hand reached forwards to brush against my cheek, wiping off the salted tears that remained proof of my heartbreak.
Just thinking about it, and seeing Sunoo show so much concern for me replenished my waterline. Maybe some comfort was all I needed at that point. Just someone being by my side and assuring me in positive.
"Hey, don't cry," He grasped my hand, "Come sit with me, I'm listening." He led us to a nearby bench. As if on cue, the street lamp above the bench lit up as we sat down on the metal bars.
I could smell fresh grass, and humidity in air. It had been raining since morning in Seoul, and the atmosphere was cold. My sundress wasn't helping at all, as I wrapped my free hand around myself to generate some type of heat.
Sunoo seemed to have not noticed, as he waited patiently for me to answer, staring down at his boots, his hand still grasping mine tightly.
"Stop crying. You look ugly."
An involuntary snort escaped my mouth, "Tsundere," I tsked under my breath to show him so some type of response since lifting my cheekbones into a smile seemed the most difficult task I could do at that moment.
Even though he was facing ahead, I could see his lips curl into a faint, small smile, "Tell me.." He urged. He couldn't bare the fact that one of his very few friends was hurting and he could do nothing about it.
Areum was there with him ever since he met her, and she accepted him as her friend despite his flaws. Sunoo never really had people he could call as his true friends. He was thankful to have found such people in Seoul.
"Sunghoon," I sucked in a sharp breath, making Sunoo's gaze shift towards me, "He was in with Jaehyun all the while.." I sighed, biting my lower lip as a gesture for myself to stay strong. All those memories I shared with Park Sunghoon past the months flashed in front of me. I had even called him an angel at one point.
