[COMPLETE]
A story where your boyfriend is your wingman.
Time was like a ticking time bomb for Wu Jaehyun, and every passing moment he could feel himself drift further away from his only source of happiness, his girlfriend.
He wanted things to be...
"Sometimes I push you away, because I need you to pull me closer."

"Wine?" Wu Jaehyun asked as he raised a glass bottle in the air, his eyes trained on me.
"No, thanks." I smiled as I pulled the straps of my bathrobe tighter around me, the fur grazing my naked skin underneath. The air in our house today felt unnaturally cold, it had been like this past few weeks now. It wasn't even winter season yet.
Jaehyun raised his eyebrows at me, shrugging it off as he pulled out a glass for himself, placing it on the marble top with a soft clank. He let the crimson liquid fill the glass, some of it dripping through the bottle cap, rivering down.
I watched as he brought the bottle near himself, kissing the cap, licking the dripping juice off it. His delicate, attractive features contracted slightly at the taste, his guts grimacing within. He was addicted, even though he knew how his body was reacting to alcohol these days.
He smacked his lips at the taste. "You should cut down on drinking wine, you know?" I said as he adjusted his towel around his waist, his bare torso flexing at me. He was attractively toned, a few small tattoos here and there over the fair skin of his arms.
"You should stop nagging everytime, you know?" He retorted, sipping his wine before closing his eyes momentarily in contentment, "And anyways, you never deny drinking this with me," He raised his glass dismissively, "What happened now?"
"Bad habits need to be changed, Jaehyun." I sighed as he chortled, downing the remaining drink in one go.
"What philosophy are you reading these days?" He asked as he reached for the bottle once again, only I beat him to it.
I slid the bottle towards my side, closing the cap firmly and getting up, "There's nothing philosophical in this. If it's bad, you shouldn't do it. Isn't this like your second bottle for the day?" I said furiously as I kept the bottle inside the refrigerator.
"It's not—"
"Don't lie, Jae." I snapped, "You know you've been experiencing weird episodes during your hungover mornings. The doctor advised you to take care of your health and here you—"
"Just shut up!" He snapped abruptly, slamming his hand on the counter, making me flinch, "One damn bottle won't take my life, will it? Why do you have to scold me so much about it?" He let out through clenched teeth as he got up.
"Jaehyu—"
"No!" He cut me off as he stormed towards our room, leaving me staring at his closed door.
I sat down on the counter, massaging my throbbing head.
What happened to you, Jaehyun? Why are you changing?
My phone's ringtone broke the wall of silence in the house, as I looked at the caller.
Juyeon calling...
I sighed as my thumb hovered the red button, my mind debating as to pick up or not. I chewed on my bottom lip as I pressed it, declining the call. Better meet him in person and vent a little out. I think the last thing I needed right now was being with Jaehyun.
I walked upto Jaehyun's room, knocking on the door twice. "Jaehyun, I need my clothes." I said aloud. Soon I heard a faint click, as he unlatched the door.
I quietly went inside, seeing him already dressed up in his pajamas as he was surfing through his phone. I picked up my clothes before I made my way into the bathroom with one last glance on my boyfriend.

"That rotten piece of sh—"
"Juyeon," I interupted, accepting the glass of water he handed me, "He's my boyfriend." I spoke firmly before downing the liquid, preventing my best friend from spewing any further non-sense about Jaehyun.
"I know," He sighed as he sat down beside me, "I— I'm sorry, but I really cannot help it when that guy fights with you— what is it— almost daily! Does he even care about your feelings?" He muttered furiously, a deep frown etched on his face.
"He cares. Maybe something is troubling him—"
"That's not your problem! He cannot just fuck you and then fight with you and then ask you to leave! It's almost as if he is using you! Your relationship is clearly falling apart and it's all his fault!" He protested in a breath, raising his hands in air in frustration, which took me fairly by surprise seeing him all worked up.
"Here Areum," He spoke softly as he caressed my hand, "I just don't want you to get hurt by his foolishness or your own ignorance."
I smiled at how protective my best friend was about me, how he cared about me even when no one else did. Some words of encouragement and warmth from him were all that kept me going these days. "I won't. I promise." I mumbled as he hugged me, a gesture to which I gladly responded.
