"Oh now it feels like a perfect road trip," Sunghoon said as he stretched out, exercising his limbs. I laughed, handing him a bottle of water since he had been driving past 2 hours in a go. Apparently, Jaehyun had needed a little washroom break, reason being why we had stopped by a restaurant for him.
"I'm back, I'm here!" Jaehyun called hurriedly, jogging towards the car, a sheepish grin set on his face. Sunghoon let out a light chuckle, passing him the bottle after he had chugged some water down himself.
"Want me to drive? You must be tired," I offered.
Truth to be told, I wanted to lay my hands on the steering system of that Maserati. I wanted to see how it felt to run a car like such, since after I had gotten my driving license, I never felt the need to drive myself to places having Jaehyun by my side always. I really wanted to experience this, even if it was for once.
Sunghoon caught the glint of hope in my eyes, lolling his tongue inside his inner cheek as he thought about my offer. Deep thoughts. He would say that he wasn't really tired if asked, but looking at the glow, the anticipation in my eyes, he couldn't say no.
She could look at him once like that, and he would willingly give her his all, the look in her eyes was that captivating for him. Her eyes were that captivating.
Faking fatigue, he tossed the car keys for me to catch, "Alright then," Stepping aside to make way for me towards the car door, "Thank you for your concern, majesty."
I laughed, getting inside the driver's seat as Sunghoon climbed in beside me, drumming his fingers on his thigh happily. Jaehyun seemed fairly excited too since he had never let me drive, let alone witness the sight.
Taehee nudged Sunghoon's shoulder from behind, "Pair my phone with the car system," She mumbled, outstretching her hand to point it towards the car screen while her eyes were set on her phone as she searched for perfect songs for a long drive.
Sunghoon quickly obeyed, connecting her phone to the audio system while I adjusted the mirrors according to my comfort since my height was slightly shorter than Sunghoon's.
"Cadet," I called before starting the engine to the car, "Pass me my sunglasses. The weather seems fairly brighter today, and we don't need any hassles in our w—"
"We need to reach there safe and in one piece," Sunghoon interrupted suddenly, making Jaehyun break into a fit of laughter, as he passed my sunglasses to me. Glares were shot in his direction before I eventually clamped my mouth shut, getting the car into motion.
