"What if, you and I were meant to part ways, only so we could find each other again."

"Sunghoon," I called, looking down my nails that I had painted with a lovely shade of red to match them with my satin evening gown, "Can you help me out please?"

And the very next second I heard footsteps nearing our bedroom, "Yes, love?" He asked with a smile, peeping inside as he held the door ajar.

"Zip me up, will you?" I asked softly, not wanting to ruin my nails. He grinned, stepping inside before he closed the door behind him.

Gently pushing my hair over my shoulder, his fingers lightly brushed my back before he pulled the zipper up along the span of my spine, slowly.

"You look simply gorgeous," He whispered, placing my hair back in their place carefully, "You make me feel like the luckiest man on this planet," He bit his lip, in awe of every aspect of his girlfriend as he looked at her through the reflection of the mirror in front of them. He wouldn't even deny being whipped for her.

A faint blush dusted my cheeks, my ears turning bright red beneath the blanket of my silky hair. Turning my head to the side, I grinned at him, "And here I thought I was lucky one between us?"

Sunghoon laughed, a deep manly chuckle resonating around the walls, before he gently grabbed ahold of my jaw, "That's not it, doll face." He licked his lips before leaning in for a kiss, his other hand sliding around my waist to turn me around.

Parting away after a moment, he gave me fucked out smile, "Happy 6 months to us, and to this pretty woman in my life," He mumbled, gently caressing my cheek with his thumb.

Today was potentially a very important day for us. It had been exactly 6 months since I and Sunghoon had started dating officially, and today was also Jay's wedding day.

But also over 8 months with not a single call or text from Jaehyun.

"Sunghoon," I mumbled, earning a hum from him, "I fell in love with you, but did I fall out of love with Jaehyun?" I didn't know why my ex still crossed my mind every single day, making me wonder if he was doing fine, if he was happy there. Was I simply concerned about him?

"You haven't, and you never will. The ending of your story wasn't cruel, it was fated," He said softly, "The only difference is that you love him in a different way now, not as a lover. Not as a woman loves a man." He smiled.

I smiled back, feeling at ease just like that. It was probably the thing I loved about Sunghoon the most. He knew exactly what to say in every situation, he knew exactly how to comfort me at any given time. And it always worked.
