Tyler's pov
Month 12
One year. It's been one year since I escaped, no, was pulled from Brendon's death grip.
It's been... eventful.
Joshua has been so helpful and on so many levels. God, if I hadn't known any better I'd think I'm in love him. Huh, what a crazy concept.
//
Hey! Be ready in 5! I'll be there shortly!
I smile at my phone and lock it before tossing it on my bed. I look at myself one more time in my full length mirror deciding this is the best I can do. Look, I don't have fancy clothes and neither does he so I'm not sure why he did this.
I'm just wearing my normal, every day clothes. Black skinny jeans with a black and white striped shirt, red socks and black converse. Nothing too much, nothing too little. At least I hope so. Oh my God, what if it's too little?
Joshua doesn't have fancy clothes what am I talking about?
Unless he went out to buy some.
He doesn't have the kind of money, he wouldn't do that.
Unless he asked mom for some!
But he wouldn't do that to me, he knows I have nothing fancy.
Unless he would? Ha ha, Joshua is fancy and Tyler's piss poor!
No, he wouldn't do that. He isn't like that.
Unless he is? I'm easy to manipulate, okay?!
"Tyler!" Joshua yelled.
I jumped, being startled by his echoing voice. "One second!"
I collect my phone and wallet before heading out to the living room. I hear him groan which made me smile.
"Ready?" He asks.
Answering my moms text, that I totally did not forget about from three days ago, I spoke. "Sorry, I meant to be out here by the time you came home."
"It's okay, are you ready?" He asked again.
I nod, smiling to myself. "Yeah, where are we going?" I ask, still typing on my phone.
"Tyler!" He spoke loudly, making me look up.
"What?" I asked in defense, slowly taking in his outfit.
Holy shit.
It's so simple but he makes it look so good. Black and white small checkered pants with a slightly sparkly grey short sleeve shirt.
I'm so happy I'm gay.
"Are you ready?" He asked, once again.
"Yes, I'm sorry, I was just answering my mom." I said, shoving my phone in my back pocket.
"It's okay." He smiled. He held out his hand for me to take, which I hesitantly did. "You look really good." He said.
I blushed and looked at the floor. "Thank you."
"C'mon, lets go."
//
"Okay, it'll be ready in about 20 to 30 minutes." The waitress spoke.
"Thank you." Joshua mumbled as she walked away. "So," he said smiling at me. "How was work today?"
I smile back and shrug. "It was work. I had a costumer start a fight with a coworker to which another costumer fought with the first one, it was a whole mess."
