Chapter 11.

Normani's POV
I was up early to cook some breakfast. My gma was up early too watching prerecorded reruns of Martin. And I only now that because I've heard that same Biggie episode for 3 days in a row. I mean majority of the episode is the audience clapping for so long when he walks into their apartment.

I was just making an omelet that had sausage, peppers and cheese. I prepared to make 3. Megan was still in my room sound asleep.

She's been over since Friday night, after work she'd come back over. It was now Monday and my first day at my program. Although the program is only for 3 weeks it was already draining me.

I think my grandma loves Megan. And I know she's no fool, I'm sure she knows somethings up but I doubt she thinks that we're together. Although we're not relationship official yet.

As I beat some eggs in a bowl our conversations from the passed days reran through my head. In three weeks I'm going with her to Texas to meet her mother. I'm here to be Megan's moral support, but this is very nerve-racking. I'm not sure what she'll introduce me as to her mom. And I sure as hell don't know the proper way to comfort my love. I usually just hold her and it seems to work. I smiled thinking of her.

She was so vulnerably open with me. I don't love the idea of her and Caresha being as close as they are but  I see why they are now. Im not a fan Caresha either, but I do respect her. Im sure I'd have to be around her more often because I know she's important to Megan too.

As I got the fried eggs going Ryan came inside my house.

"Goodmorninggg sis," she kissed my cheek and made her way to the living room to hug and kiss my gma.

"Oou I love this episode, Pam and Gina on the stage tryna show out," I heard her talk to her and laugh.

Ryan came back into the kitchen and took a seat at the table.
"Hey, you want some im making-"

"Yes please. Mani you know I don't care what you make because it's always good," she smiled and scrolled on her phone.

I cracked two more eggs and fried up more onions and peppers.

"Where you been this weekend? You didn't even shoot me the regular 'I'm home' text,"

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Ms.Dawn moved my shifts around because of my program and plus Megan's kinda been over," I said the last part very quickly, I knew she'd make a big deal.

"Are y'all a thingggg now?" Ryan smiled so big, ear to ear.

All I could do is blush.

"Oh my godddd I gotta tell my momma, and Solana. Im texting the groupchat,"

I sighed, "don't tell lil Nas he gon be upset with me," I laughed a little as I finished up the omelets.

"What yall fucked on Friday or sum?" She whispered

I looked at her in shock,
"Girl I haven't had so much as my first kiss, never mind my virginity," I reminded her , also keeping my voice down

"Did she kiss you?" Ryan's undivided attention was on me

I looked over at her, not saying a thing and this girl started jumping up and down.
"Ayeeeee," she started dancing

"It is too early Ryan," I laughed

I heard footsteps tracing down the stairs, and it was a sleepy Megan.
