I spit on a track that LilJuMadeTheBeat made for me. Whenever I spit I close my eyes at first especially when I'm nervous. But I was comfortable.

My mom, Kehlani, Rome and Normani were all outside of the booth hyping me. Along with some other dude that just rolled in.

I set the headphones done stepping out.

"This my good friend," he turned towards a lightskin dude, I can't even believe I was looking eye to eye with Drake.

"That's me, I got some shows this week you gotta open for me,"

"Cool, I got a show this Friday. I'll send you all the info I need you to open for me yo shit is so dope,"

Drake and my producer were chopping it up and I sat back on the couch next to my girl.

"That shit was crazyyyy," Rome gave me some dap, Kehlani congratulated me as well.

"You opening for Drake, that is insane I'm so proud of you," Mani gave me a kiss on my cheek.

Mom walked over.

"I don't think I'll be here on Friday though love,"

"Mom you gotta stay up here, I'll buy you a house when I get some money,"

"We'll talk about it later okay?"

I nodded.

"Listen I'm gon keep in touch, I'll be there for you at Drakes opening and then you can drop some mixtapes from there cool?"

"Cool,"

"She gotta sign anything right now?" My mother asked

"Nah not yet,"

"Don't sign anything without me," my mom warned me. I nodded.

We spoke for a while long before we all left.

"How you feeling?" Normani held my hand and rubbed her thumb across my skin. Probably sensing my nervousness.

We sat next to each other at a table, we all went out to dinner after the studio. Solana, Ryan and Keith are on their way and my mom had left back home to be with my dad.

She's been helping him with his drinking. I haven't really talked to him but my mom is trying to close that gap. I just get nervous around him now more than I ever have.

Kehlani and Rome sat across from us.

"I'm okay," I answered.

"Nervous?"

I nodded. She knows me too well.

She kissed my cheek.
