Chapter 48.

Normani's POV

"Why is Taraji here?" I asked as Caresha grabbed my arm.

"Her and Lance used to be together,"

LL is Lance. Damn I'm slow as hell.

Caresha and I stayed by the car. She had a piece on her as well.

We listened to Lance and Taraji. I'm sure Teyana and Kehlani weren't far, only for Taraji's protection.

"Listen, you hurt my daughter Lance and I'm gon fuck you up," Taraji doesn't play about Megan.

"I thought we were on the some page T. When we was together all you wanted was profit off her!"

Caresha and I looked at each other
"What the hell?" I spoke quietly

"You KNOW that's not true Lance, money was hard-"

"Money is always gon be hard! You said she got talent. She's the next one up right? So what's so wrong about having her and Diamonté be a power couple? Huh? Cut that other bitch off and boom, money in our pockets,"

"They were supposed to be the children we raised together how could you even think of something so.."

"Brilliant?"

"Sick. Lance you are sick. She is a human and whatever you did to Diamonté to make her as fucked up as you is sad. Gabrielle wouldn't have wanted you to raise her daughter like this,"

"DONT bring up my sisters name do you hear me," Lance shuffled over to Taraji.

Out of silence Kehlani's voice appeared.
"Alright, conversation is over. Let her go Lance,"

I look at the car mirror, seeing Lance with a gun to Taraji's head and Kehlani pointing a gun to his.

Caresha slowing made it over to the other end of the car, watching all of her surroundings.

"Oh you got geoupies now T? This how you roll now?" He looked down at Taraji

"You gonna keep talking?" Kehlani asked

"I'll kill her, you'll have a whole mother problem to deal with," a laugh formed from his words.

Kehlani shot at his foot, causing him to release from Taraji and Caresha to come in and shoot his arm.

Teyana swooped in to grab Taraji. But before they could get away safely 3 shots from Lance's gun went off. Two popping Taraji and one hitting Teyana.

I ran around the car grabbing Teyana, putting her in the back seat,  her bullet wound didn't look too bad. It looked like it didn't enter , only snatched some flesh from the side of her stomach.

Taraji took 2 in the shoulder and those didn't have an exit wound.
Kehlani managed to put Taraji in the passengers seat.

"I'll take care of Lance, go to the hospital now make sure they good," Caresha instructed us

Kehlani nodded and we drove off speeding.

Taraji was in pain but they both took it well.

"Is it true?" Kehlani asked

"It's always about the money," was the only thing Taraji managed to say.

"You okay?" Teyana looked over at me. She kept me warm during all of this mess. This is a whole different world for me. Something I thought I'd never have to deal with and it just seems like this is all more than I can handle. She's injured and I can't even imagine what Megan's doing right now. Too much clouded my mind but I have to think of what's going on now. Teyana is hurt.

"Are you okay?

She brushed me off
"A lil scar never hurt nobody," she smiled at me, covering her stomach with her hand

"Teyana,"

"I asked you if you was okay Mani,"

I looked away. However I feel isn't important right now.

Megan's POV

"Kehlani said they heading to the hospital, Caresha is handling everything with Lance right now. But Diamonté wasn't with them?" Romes voice grew confused.

"We need to find her," I said

"Nah you need to hold up the other end of your deal Tip. You need to do this shit fast," Rome's tone changed. He was talking about business.

"How about this, you two deal with yo shit, and I watch and enjoy the show," Tip smirked.

Something off.

"We need to go," were the only words I could form.
Rome and I went outside, the only plan we had was to go back to our cars.

"You goin' somewhere ms sexy?" Diamonté's voice took over my mind.

"You not gon fuck me good and then never call again are you?" She licked her lips

Romes face gave away every thought in his mind. "I'll make you a deal, and before you say no it's about that girl you like so much,"

Diamonté stood right before me.

"All you have to do is be my girl. I need you Megan. I need the publicity , the fame, the money. All of it. You see I come from much but you will help me get what I need."

"Why can't we just collaborate on projects , why do we have to date and fuck and that unnecessary shit,"
I moved from her, grabbing onto my waist.

"Mm mm, don't do that," she pulled her gun out and aimed it directly at Rome

"If you move I will shoot him," she looked in my eyes, I did everything I could to hide my fear.

"If you do what I need you to do, I'll leave Normani alone. Deal?"

"And my family. My friends and the people I love,"
I added

"Okay, if you do what I need you to do I'll leave all of them out of this. Friends , family, brother, sister I don't care,"

"She'll never take that shit," I heard Rome's voice I heard him come closer, slowly.

"Don't be stupid boy. I'll hurt you," she looked at him. Perfect aim.

"Rome , it's okay," I assured him.

I weighed my options. If I keep fighting the people I love get hurt or die over some crazy materialistic fanatic. Over someone I could have avoided if I had listed to Doja.

"Deal," I looked at Diamonté and shook her hand.

Honestly I've been debating on updating because I didn't know if y'all would still be interested.

I think I'll create a second part to this story if the last few chapters go well?

I know I've been inactive for a minute. Senior year kicked my ass but I graduated and I'll be going to college soon so I've been buuusssyyy.

I hope you all are still in for this ride.

I apologize for taking a few years.. once again😭
