Chapter 17.

Megan's POV
"You know Taraji?" Angela spoke to me as I sat against the window. It was late and Normani was dozing off. I'd convince her to sleep at home because she has her program tomorrow. And she'll be upset to leave but she will.

It was just me Angela, Normani and Sanaa in here. Solana and Ryan went home a couple hours after all the commotion happened. I'm assuming Regina never spends the night because she probably has a curfew back at the hotel.

"Huh?" I asked , looking over to her.

"I said do you know a woman named Taraji,"

That's my moms name.

I froze.

"Taraji what?"

"P. Henson ,"

I gulped.

"Why?"

"She's a close friend of mine down in Texas. I posted a picture of all of us the other day on Facebook, asking everyone for prayers and support for my mother. And Jennifer texting me. I knew you looked familiar but I haven't seen you since you were a child,"

"How do you know her?"

"We we're close in college,"

"Do you still talk to her now?"

Angela nodded, "kind of, we watch up,"

"How's Audira," the name of the daughter my mom had. She told me her name while telling me about the baby shower.

Angela's face softened.
"She didn't end up naming her Audria. She named her Jovon,"

My middle name.

"She um, she lost the baby hours later. She felt at a loss because she though she lost you as well, both of her babies."

I felt awful. Sick.
All this time I was convinced my mom was living this amazing life and she was probably in pain.

"After she lost Jovon, her and Lance were on a rough patch. He practically blames her for the loss. So they split,"

I felt terrible. My mom she raised me. She loved me.

"I was going to go down to Texas and see her next week. But I've been here with Normani and I'm not going to leave her. Maybe you could tell Taraji to come up for a week or two?"

"I'm sure she'd love that, how about you two go home for the night,"

I nodded.

"Hi baby," I kissed Manis cheek.

"Hi," she looked up at me, "she's going to wake up soon I can feel it," she smiled all tired.

"She will," I touched grandma G's hand. "We're all waiting for you Grams," I spoke to her.

The doctors have been nothing but kind to us here. Especially Normani, once she comes and sits she's practically glued to the chair. She loved Dr.along.

Normani kissed her forehead.
"Goodnight gma, I'll be back tomorrow right after my program. I'm almost done this is my last week and it's been great, I already told you all of that though okay I love you," she spoke to her.

She grabbed her bag and we threw our extra trash away.

"See you guys tomorrow," we hugged both Angela and Sanaa.
