Megan's POV

I woke up uncomfortable as hell on this damn mattress.

"Pretty girl they callin you to get up," I heard another girls voice as she read a book and leaned against the wall.

I rubbed my eyes.
"Huh?"

"You the other inmate in 247 , so it could only be you. Pete,"

I sat up slowly, looking outside from the bars.

"Your folk probably here to bail you out," she explained

"How would you know?"

"This my 2nd misdemeanor,"

"Anybody coming to get you?"

"Probably not, they can't hold me too long anyway,"

"What's your name?"

"Teyana,"

"MEGAN PETE!" The guard yelled

"Okay, maybe I'll see you around," I grabbed all my belongings and walked out.

I saw my mom.

Oh god.

"You're free to leave ms Pete,"

I nodded and I went outside.

"What the hell Megan?"

"Mom-"

"Explain, and get yo ass in the got damn car," she pointed the car.

I listened and walked to the car, sitting inside of the passengers seat.

"Normani called me and I had to take a last minute flight here. We telling yo father all this shit tonight and you coming to live with me back in Texas,"

"What? No mom I can't," I looked at her

"You will, no questions asked,"

"Mom I'm 18,"

"And you still act like a fucking child!" She hit the wheel.

"But mommy-"

"If Angela didn't tell me to say whatever the fuck I needed to say you would've had a misdemeanor. Jail? Really? I put up with a lot of shit but jail?"

"It was for Caresha," I mumbled

"You back with her?"

"No, no but if I didn't then she would've went down ma this her third strike,"

"Why was you at the trap house?"

"Lauren needed me to come, to bring Caresha home cause she was selling again and Monica was doing drugs again, she said Caresha would only listen to me,"

My mom was silent. Taking everything in.

"You can't protect everyone sweetheart," she sighed, "Normani's worried about you,"

"I know,"

"We're going to have a talk. Your father, Lauren and myself, you gon be there too,"

"Do I have to?"

"Yes,"

"Do I have to move to Texas with you too?"

"I can't force you even though you my child,"

"I think you should move up here mom," I looked over to her. "You have family here, plus in probably gonna need a manager soon,"

"I've been out the game so long baby, I'm a realtor now you know that,"
