Ava was getting ready for work as her phone buzzed as she got a message.

Ortho Goddess: Arizona and I are going to conference for the next 3 days so Mark is watching Sofia so if you could check in on them a couple times that would be great and I'll give you an amazing surgery when I'm back.Also you'll be covering my service so don't screw up any of my patients.

Ava: The surgery sounds great but I would of done it out the kindness of my heart for Sofia and I'll do my best. Enjoy your conference.

Ortho Goddess: Thank you! We will.

Ava puts down her phone as she continues to get ready for work as she heads to the kitchen as she sees April.

"Hey April are you good to cover the E.R today I've got to do Torres service her and Arizona have gone to a conference for a few days." Ava asks April.

"Yeah sure." She says to Ava as she continues doing laundry.

"How does Torres let you run her service and Mark won't even let me do anything in surgery." Jackson complains to his girlfriend.

"I don't know but I've been learning from Callie longer than you have Mark." Ava tells him as she kisses him before grabbing her coffee.

"Are you almost ready because if your not in the car in 5 minutes I'm leaving without any of you." Ava tells them as they all go get their things.

Ava puts on her trauma gown as her and Cristina run into Alex and Jackson.

"Who's a genius?" Cristina asks them.

"Nobody." Alex says to them.

"Yep absolutely no one." Jackson says agreeing as Ava and Cristina share a confused look.

"Have you heard what's coming in?" Cristina asks Owen.

"Human stampede at a comic convention." Owen tells them all.

"Dr. Hunt." One of the nurses call him.

"Which means crush injuries. Lots of them." Richard adds as Ava's face lights up.

"Amazing bones and blood." Ava exclaims as they all look at her scared as she rushes off into the madness.

Ava was filing out a bunch of patient files as she gets a page from Mark as the goes to a patient room quickly as she sees Alex looking over Sofia.

"What happened?" Ava asks concerned for her goddaughter as she sees the scans are clear before turning to her brother.

"Sofia rolled over for the first time but she rolled off the couch and onto the floor and she hasn't been crying since." Mark says as Ava picks up Sofia.

"Well she looks okay Mark." Ava tells him.

"I told him that your baby is fine she's healthy and she probably just likes you now I need to get back to work." Alex says as he leaves as Ava thanks him.

"Did you roll over for the first time and gives your daddy a fright yes you did." Ava says in a baby voice to Sofia.

"She's fine Mark. Your a good dad that's why she isn't crying now I think someone needs a nap and by someone I mean you so go to an on-call room before your shift starts I'll watch Sofia and take her to daycare." Ava tells him as she grabs Sofia's things before leaving mark.

Ava sees Mark with Sofia as she goes over to them.

"Hey Mark how are you doing?" Ava asks him as he looks up at her.

"Your brother is stealing my guy right from under me." Mark says to Ava as she plays with Sofia.

"You mean Jackson?" She asks taking Sofia from Mark. "Is your daddy mad? How can you be angry when you get to look at this face all day long?" Ava asks as she talks to Sofia in a baby voice.

"He's your boyfriend what's he saying?" Mark asks Ava.

"Nothing really just that he wants to be able to actually do surgery and your not letting him but i mean you must have reason for that right?" Ava asks Mark as she pulls face making Sofia smile.

"He's not ready yet I've told him that." Mark continues to complain as Ava's pager goes off.

"Oh no well I guess that's my time to go bye bye Sofia I'll see you later go back to your daddy." Ava says as she kisses Sofia's head and gives her back to Mark before answering her pager.

Ava finishes filling out a file as Alex comes with his patient and stands beside her as April talks to his patient.

"Is this the one that's going nerd crazy for April?" Ava whispers to him.

"Yeah let's see how this one plays out." Alex says as they both watch on.

"Thank you for what you did,s-standing up to that guy the other day.That was so brave." April says to the patient.

"I was a hobbit." He tells her as Ava and Alex share a look.

"Oh...Okay.Uh, I'm not really familiar with hobbits,but anyway, that...Okay. Thank you. Bye." April says confused as she leaves

"What ever happened to just saying hi?" Alex asks him as he and Ava walk off laughing.

Ava just arrives home as she gets a message from Mark as she is asked to go to Derek's new house.

Ava drives to the Dream house not very happy having her night interrupted. "Mark Everett Sloan you better have a very good reason for me being here." She snaps at him as she gets out of the car seeing them all working on the decking as she starts laughing.

"So this is where your all hiding out?" Ava asks them laughing as she turns to Mark. "Why am I here?" She asks him.

"Can you watch Sofia?" Mark asks her as Ava looks at Owen holding Sofia.

"Of course." Ava says as she walks over to Owen taking Sofia from him. "Let's go Sofia leave these to do whatever they do out here." She says as she walks past Jackson stopping in front of him as she covers Sofia's ear.

"Handyman looks very hot on you Dr Avery." Ava tells him as she goes and puts Sofia in her car seat as Mark and Derek stand not knowing what to do as the other laugh at Ava's comment as she gets in her car and leaves them all to continue there work.
