Ava was feeding Mark his breakfast as Jackson came down into the kitchen as he kisses her and then kisses Mark on the head.
"So how you doing with Derek and Meredith moving to DC?" He asks her as he makes himself a coffee.
"I'm going to miss him a lot and Meredith and the kids too but he's my big brother and I'm proud of what he's going to achieve. It's just so strange everyone is moving on I mean they're moving to DC, Cristina's leaving and Alex has gone." Ava says as Jackson takes a sip of his coffee before sitting down.
"Alex is always going to be around and you can go visit Meredith and Derek. You've always got me darling I'm not going anywhere." He tells her as she smiles and kisses him as he kisses her back.
"I know I love you." She tells him as he smiles at her.
"And I love you too now I've just got to work out who'll be taking Cristina's seat on the board as Derek and Meredith can just call into the meeting." He says as Ava nods.

Ava was filling out a file as Owen and April came up beside her as April turned to her. "Can I talk to both of you?" She asks.
"You already are" Owen says as he checks over his patient as Ava looks at April.
"Privately?Um, do you have a minute to go into,
like, a trauma room?" She says as Ava looks at over as he looked stressed.
"Spit it out, Kepner." He tells her as he sighs.
"I'm pregnant.I know it's sudden and it's soon,and I know it makes your life hell,but I will work until it falls out of me.Kepners are built to have babies, sir.W-we've dropped them in fields." She rambles on as Ava and Owen smile at her.
"Kepner, I'm happy for you.I'm thrilled. Congratulations." Ava and Owen says to her as she smiles at both of them.
"Thank you.It was earlier than we thought, but my mom always says that if you wait for the perfect time to have a baby,then you'll just die... childless." April says as they all look over at the news.
"Of an enormous explosion.It happened only minutes ago at Seattle's mall of the woods.We are getting reports of massive fatalities.And scores of people injured.Officials have not yet determined..."The news reporter says as Owen share a look with Ava.
"Page all available surgeons.Clear the E.R.Discharge all patients who can be.Cancel all elective surgeries. Admits...Let's get them upstairs.I want a security lockdown on this floor.I want all available beds
and gurneys down here.Call blood services.I want all the O-neg they have." Ava and Owen start handing out orders.

"Your airway looks good.This cut will need to be stitched up." Ava tells her patients as she examined her.
"And the blisters?What is this?" The patient cries as she looked at her arm.
"We don't know yet, but we're running some tests, okay?" Ava tries to reassure the patient.
"I can't find him.I-I looked all over down here.I looked outside. I can't find him." A man says as he rushes over to them.
"Who?" Ava asks looking at them.
"Leo... my boy.Our little boy... he was with me. We were buying shoes when..." the woman start to panic.
"Marilyn, I'm gonna give you some sedation.Just try to breathe, okay?What does Leo look like?" Ava says looking at her partner.
"He's 10. Brown hair. It's long.It's too long. He won't, uh, cut it.Brown eyes. He has braces." The dad explains to her as Ava offers him a reassuring smile.
"If he's here, we'll find him." She tells him as he nods at her.

"Dry-cleaning fluid?" Ava asks as she takes off her gloves looking up at Owen.
"The CDC report says that's what's causing the patients' blisters.There was a big dry cleaner at the mall.Victims were laying in puddles of the stuff. Prolonged skin exposure can cause rashes." Owen explains to her.
"So it wasn't a chemical attack?It was just a bomb?" Ava asks him as Warren walks over to them.
"Dr. Hunt,you'll want to see this." Ben says to them as they go over to the tv.
"And we will be bringing you more information as it becomes available.We repeat now...investigators have determined at this hour that the mall of the woods blast was caused by a gas-main explosion. Officials say they found no evidence of foul play and that fears of a terrorist threat were unfounded." The reporter says as Ava lets out a sigh of relief.
"Thank our lucky stars." Ava says.
"Yep. Second that." Ben says to her as she turns to Owen.
"All right, chief, what's next?How does this change what we're doing?" Ava asks him as Owen shakes his head.
"It changes nothing,Ava.There was still an explosion.
The wounded are still wounded, and people are still lost." He tells her as she goes to check on her patients.

Cristina was heading downstairs with Meredith as she ran into Ava as she looked at her. "Your an amazing surgeon Shepherd. You pushed me to be an even better one and your an amazing mom. Do me a favour keep an eye Meredith and make sure Alex doesn't get to full of himself or he'll become insufferable. And watch out for Owen." She says as she hugs her.
"Go show them what you can do Yang. Continue to be unstoppable and a force of nature." Ava says to her as she hugs her back. "Don't worry I've them." She says so only Cristina can hear as she smiles before going after Meredith.

Ava puts mark to bed as she heads downstairs and sees Jackson working on his laptop on the sofa as she sits beside him.
"Is he asleep?" Jackson says looking up at Ava as she smiles nodding as he shuts down his laptop and pulls her on top of him as she lays resting her head against his chest.
"I watched Robbins deliver as baby girl today and it took me back to that moment when Mark was born. That first time holding him feeling all that love just rush at me seeing him look up at me with your eyes." Jackson says as he rubs her back.
"He's perfect I know and he looks so much like you were lucky Avery we've got each other and beautiful baby boy." Ava says to him as hums in response.
"I want more Ava. No right now because Mark still young but some day I want us to have more kids." He says to her as she looks up at him.
"I don't know if I do anymore Jackson. I love Mark and he's everything to me but I don't know if want more children." She says as he looks at her taken back.
