Ava was making breakfast for Mark as he sat at the table as Jackson came down as he gave mark a kiss on the head as he went over to his wife wrapping his arms around her and he trailed kisses down her neck.

Ava moved her neck giving Jackson more access which made him smile against her skin as a small smile danced on her lips. "You left me in a cold bed this morning." Jackson said as he continued to his her neck.

"Mark wanted to get up and you just groan and rolled over." Ava says as she turned around in his arms to face him.

"That doesn't sound like me I'm such a morning person." Jackson says as he smirked at her as Ava rolled her eyes at him as she finished making breakfast as they joined Mark at the table.

"Oh, man. Did we miss it?" Alex says as he walks over to Callie,Meredith,Maggie and Amelia who were stood at the O.R board.

"Nope. Nope." Callie and Meredith said to the two

"I want to see someone crap, actually crap." Alex said as Ava looked at her best friend with a weird look.

"Seen it, smelled it.Not as fun as you'd think." Callie says to them making Ava feel slightly sick.

"It's happening!The baby chicks and ducks are here!" Arizona says cheerfully as they all follow her.

All the attending sat as they mouthed every word of Richards speech which he told every year. "They look stupid." Alex says making Ava laugh as she looks at the new interns.

"They look like babies.Were we ever that young?" Ava says as she looks at all of their fresh faces.

"They're so well rested." Ben says as Ava looks over at him confused to her husbands whereabouts.

"And stupid." Alex says adds.

"And eager, like puppies." Meredith says looking down from the gallery.

"No, not like puppies.Chicks and ducks.Chicks and ducks." Maggie and Arizona says together.

"When did we start calling them that?" Meredith says to them as she looks at each of them her eyes lingering on her sister in law a while longer than the others.

"You've been gone for a year." Alex says to her as she turns her attention back to the interns.

"Left to their own devices, they would drown.And take the patients down with them." Arizona says as Callie looks at them.

"God help us all." Callie says as Ava's pager goes off as she heads down to the E.R.

"A tunnel on 99 collapsed during rush hour.The north entrance completely caved in,trapping nearly 20 vehicles under the rubble." Ava says as all the surgeons watch her.

"Do we know how many victims?" Amelia says as she looks at her sister as Ava shakes her head.

"They're trying to get people out as fast as they can.
But for now, we're just waiting for them to find someone with a pulse." Ava says to them as she looks at Owen.

"How many dead?" April asks them as they all look at Ava waiting for an answer as she looks at them.

"Thirteen fatalities so far." Ava tells them.

"God." Maggie says as Ben calls out from a patient he had found alive.

"Coming through!We got a live one! Clear a path!" Ben calls out as they all jump into action.

Ava pulled up to the sight with Maggie,Meredith and Amelia as they headed over to help their patient.

"You're the surgeons from Grey Sloan?" One the firefighters asks as Ava looks up at him taking her attention away from the scene.
