Jia walked down the empty hallways of the company, taking a break from the stress of being a trainee

Costantly dieting, praticing, weight checking and evalutation

She was sick of this

3 years of costantly praticing and her debut was nowhere to be seen

She lived alone in this big city, missing her family

She was young and immature, she doesn't have a lot of friends

And her only friend was a male trainee, meaning that both weren't allowed to talk to eachother

But Big Hit trainees are known for breaking the rules

She sighed, missing those late night walks around their neigborhood with him

Two months till her birthday and she will celebrate it alone, again

She checked her phone, hoping to even see a text from her friend to tell her if he made it to the final 12

But nothing was seen

Nishimura Riki, the famous trainee for his dancing skills, was her only friend

They did everthing together, praticed, ate, they even lived together

She has to admit that she did catched some feelings for him

But were they mutual? She hoped yes but her question still doesn't have an answer

She knew that phones weren't allowed in I-Land, but that boy always found a way to keep in touch with her the past few months

"Hey, Jia, uhm I was here to tell you that the mentors are here to check our weight" Jia nodded as her trainee group mate, Lee Julia, bowed politely to her

She knew that the group she was in would never last and someone will be cutted off, especially her

She was the youngest among them, she finded it more hard to keep up with the others that were all 3-4 years older than her

She clearly missed her best friend

Sighing once again, Jia headed to the pratice room just to be welcomed by trainees on the weight scale

"70.1! You need to loose 6 kilograms, your new diet will be given to you later" That's what the mentors did, they shamed them in front of the others

"63.2! Good job Jia! However, you need to loose other 3 kilograms, your new diet will be given to you later"

Jia bowed politely as she went to the corner of the room

Altrough she hated dieting, it wasn't a problem anymore for her as she just starved herself till she reached the right weight

Her chubby cheeks he liked, disappeard

Her eye bags were getting more and more bigger as she spent the nights praticing instead of sleeping

She wanted to make sure she debuted

No matter what

"Good luck on your new diet, ms.Song" the only mentor that felt pity for her handed her a sheet full of things she should and should not eat

"Time for your monthly evalutation, first is," the mentor checked his sheets "Byeol?"

Byeol hesitantly raised her hand "if I'm not wrong you had Dreamcatcher's 'scream', am I right?" Byeol took a deep breathe

"And last, Jia" Jia raised her hand

"My song was TXT's Can't You See Me?" She knew what they asked, she got used to it

"Ok, the results will be announced tomorrow" their mentor said as soon as they ended

Jia drank water as her throat was sore after singing for hours

"For today, you can go home"

Jia rimained for more than 2 hours to pratice more, despite the tiredness

It took 15 minutes to arrive where she lived from there

It wasn't safe for an under-age girl to go around the streets of Seoul alone at night

But she didn't had any choice

How she envyed those trainees from her group that even went to eachother's house

A sigh escaped her lips, taking the keys from her bag as she entered the empty apartment

Jia knew she had to eat and follow the diet, but the girl just loosed her appetite

Her family never accepted the fact that she wanted to become a k-pop idol, so she had to come to Korea by herself at 11

She didn't had anyone whom she could share her problems to, she was going insane

She turned the lights of her small bedroom on, throwing herself on the bed as she cried

Even the trainees that remained in the same group as her were worried

Before she was cheerful and smiling but then she became cold and emotionless

The female wiped her tears as she looked herself in the mirror

"I hate you, I should have never take this path"

She whispered those words as she looked at her swollen eyes and stained cheeks

Friday, the day ever fan was waiting for

I-land will be trasmetted tonight, as Jia will get to see if her friend made it

Finally opening her phone, she checked the final 12

"Yes! Ni-ki made it!" The others in the pratice room looked at her as she quickly apologized

Her lips curved into a smirk

One of the first times she smiled again

"Everyone! You might start praticing for Shooting Star!" Everyone in the room looked at the mentor

"These are the candidates: Ko Chaemin, Lee Julia, Park Jennie, Im Jungmi, Nam Byeol, Sim Jena, Min Joo, Lim Takara, Hwang Minji, Han Mee, Song Jia. The groups and songs will be announced tomorrow morning" Jia sighed
