She was confused.

Seulgi didn't understand why her ass kept being sent to this stuffy interrogation room. As far as she knew, she haven't done anything against the law, unless this shit was about the stolen pringles weeks before. Her fingers fiddled around as the anxiety inside began crawling up. The wait had been too long for her.

At last, her ears perked up on the sound of a clicking door. The sight of Joohyun walking in made her awstruck for a good minute. But Seulgi noticed the other was a bit down, like she didn't want to face her in some ways. They stayed quiet for a while with Joohyun's head down, wondering where and how to start this conservation. She found her hands gripping the autopsy report tighter.

Joohyun went to the first page, showing Young Ho's death was caused by potioning in the first place, followed by loss of blood. The next one revealed fingerprint evidence, shocking to say Seulgi's print was on the knife and the opened package which has bottles of wines containing a lethal dose of cyanide after further investigation.

Fuck, they all lead to Seulgi.

Joohyun looked up with an unreadable expression making Seulgi more anxious. "I'm leaving you with a pen and paper to explain all this." That was the best Joohyun could say according to her. The stoic facial never disappeared as she stepped out, closing the door. Seulgi was alone again and it was slowly killing her.

Her gaze landed on the words and pictures on the paper. She read it slowly from left to right, down, then repeating it all over until the last full stop. Seulgi didn't grasp it fully but she couldn't mark the point when her eyes started to get all warm and teary.

I didn't do it. It's not me.

That same sentences played over and over inside her mind. All she remembered yesterday was giving one of her dancer friend a hand to deliver a package to his friend since the sender was busy. And she did. That was all. She arrived at the said apartment, came inside to have a short talk with him aka Young Ho, then left.

Now, she could only write her defense on the given paper, wishing they would see the case from her side. Every single detail from her day was shakily written there. After what she thought had been half an hour of essay writing, the door swung open. Hoping for a certain someone, her hope perished.

Seungwan came with the same face Joohyun had earlier. Somehow Seulgi felt smaller the moment she stared at her. The newcomer inched closer, picking the paper up. She read it thoroughly then paused after reaching the end. Her orbs threw daggers at Seulgi's. What happened next was nothing Seulgi had imagined.

"BULLSHIT! THEY'RE ALL AMATEUR BULLSHIT!"

Seungwan ripped the paper aggressively into pieces. Her rage had came to its peak as she shouted all her emotion in front of Seulgi's face. The timid girl back off, sliding to the wall with her chair. But Seungwan showed no sign of stopping, veins already popping out, invisible smokes fuming from her earholes. Her body moved forward, hands grabbing Seulgi's collar forcing the girl to stand up.

This was the second most terrifying moment in her life, after Joohyun beating her up with a pillow the other day. Drops of tears rolled down her cheek.

"YOU MURDERED MY BEST FRIEND AND THIS IS YOUR BEST TRY AT HIDING IT?!"

The grip tighten and Seungwan had pushed her stronger to the wall. Seulgi's trembling hands reached out to stop the other's, but it was no use, she felt all her strength vanished in a second. "Worst of all, you have the guts to play nice towards Joohyun unnie just to deceive her and all of us. Now rot in jail bitch." Her volume lessened but not the tension. Seulgi could feel her heavy breathing from the close distance.

A sudden banged from the door surprised them. Joohyun and Sooyoung had to interfere before things get out of hand. They pulled back Seungwan, each holding her respective arms. Seulgi slid down to a crouching position, her pupils directed to the two who had just came, expecting any kind of reaction.

But all she got was these pitiful stares from them, not a single word was uttered. She let her head hung low to avoid anyone seeing her crying. They had taken Seungwan's side, no one believed her. It was wrong for her to hope someone would comfort her because now she was alone for the nth time today. It was only her and the hanging dim lamp to light up the room.

Seulgi wanted to scream, but she couldn't.

She was devastated.
