"HELP! THERE'S A RIOT GOING ON OUTSIDE!"

A voice boomed in the interrogation room making the men startled. They didn't waste time after hearing that he would take care of Seulgi and dashed outside. The person that stood on the door let out a relieved sigh, inching closer to her. He stretched out a hand to help her get up and picked up the phone sprawled on the floor.

Seulgi didn't want to be a nervous wreck but her fingers were already moving rapidly in her pocket to fished out the post-it. Seeing her like that, the boy in front calmed her down by taking and soothing her palms. "Hey, hey, chill. I'm sure we haven't met before but I've heard stories from Joohyun noona before. You must be Seulgi-ssi, I'm Chan, a member of her squad."

Somehow Seulgi felt like she could breathe freely again. Chan unintentionally peeked on Seulgi's screen, raising an eyebrow. "Who are you tracking?" His tone switched to an uncertain one upon seeing two blue dots blinking there. Learning the sudden expression change, Seulgi knew she had to convince him she could be a help. She reached out for her notes and give them a go.

'They belong to Seongmin and Yujin, two of the orphanage children. I gave them watches that could be tracked since they sometimes got lost after school. I mean no harm I swear, please send this to Joohyun.'

Chan lifted his gaze but suddenly became flustered after seeing Seulgi on her knees pleading with all of her heart, plus her visible puppy eyes. He wasn't planning on playing the bad guy here so out of instinct he followed her movements. For now, Chan persuaded himself that Seulgi wasn't on the enemy side. Being the soft guy that he was, he would make sure to fulfill the girl's request.

"Please stand up I'm getting uneasy here. You can just send this to her contact and I'll explain the details to her later on."

Seulgi bowed a few times mouthing the word 'thank you.' The boy flashed a warm smile. They put an act of holding Seulgi hostage to free her way out of the secured building. Parting ways once stepping outside, Seulgi cautiously made her way back to her motorcycle. Arriving at the orphanage, she sneaked inside from the backyard noticing a few polices had returned to examined the crime scene.

The girl prepared herself to dive into action. She changed into a sweater and cargo pants, not forgetting to snatch a baseball cap from the rack completely covering herself. With a determined look, she walked out driving to a nearby gas station. Seulgi ordered a coffee in the store beside and set down on a table.

Every minute she regularly checked on the GPS app, keeping an eye on their location. She didn't give a single fuck on whatever the polices and detectives were doing nor what fate awaits on her loose end. There was only one thing keeping her going, she would return the children no matter what. She promised to take care of them. The moment the dots moved, it would be the time Seulgi put everything on the line.
