After school the next day, Mix did the thing he thought he'd never have to do. He reported for Judgement duty at the 177th branch office. It was nothing special really, just a small office building.
Mix thinking: Well this is.. underwhelming.
He walked inside and made his way to the room he was supposed to go to, then was instantly met with some chaos.
Misaka: KUROKO!!
Mix walked in just in time to see Misaka zap Shirai for god knows what.
Shirai: You can't avoid my love forever..!
Shirai the collapsed to the ground, twitching and smoking a little.
Konori: Yes she will, Shirai.
A woman disagreed with the electrocuted girl from a computer at the side of the room.
Misaka: *sigh* Sorry about that. She'll wake up in a minute. Probably. Anyway, I'm off. See ya tomorrow.
Misaka turned to leave, then saw Mix, standing confused in the doorway.
Misaka: Oh. Hey, Mix. Didn't think I'd run into you here of all places.
Mix: Same to you. Didn't think you were in Jusgement.
Misaka: Oh, I'm not. I just walk here with Shirai sometimes. You starting here today?
Mix: Um.. yeah.
Misaka: Good luck then. Don't let Shirai be too annoying, alright?
Mix: hehe.. got it.
Misaka grinned, then left as Mix finally entered.
Mix: So um.. I take it this is the right place?
Konori: yep. Mix, right?
He nodded as the lady stood to greet him.
Konori: Nice to meet you. I'm Konori. Guess I'll be you're boss for a while, huh?

Mix thinking: Yeah, nervous.. let's go with that I guess.
Mix nods.
Konori: Anyway, you already know Shirai, I think. So the only one left to introduce is Uiharu.
Konori motions to the corner, where another girl is working away on a bunch of monitors. She turns to look at the two of them.

She can maintain the temperature of anything she's touching. Good for keeping food warm!

Konori: Just wanted to introduce you to the newbie. Mix, meet Uiharu. Our computer genius.
Mix waves hello.
Uiharu: I wouldn't say genius.. I'm just better with them than most people.
Mix: Same thing..?
She shrugs, then gets back to work on whatever it is she's doing.
Mix: So.. what am I doing today?
Konori: Just joining Shirai on patrol duty around a section of the city. Should be uneventful unless you run into trouble.
At this point, Shirai was starting to wake up.
Shirai: Huh...?
Konori: Good. You're awake. Get up. It's time to go on patrol.
Shirai suddenly jumped up as if she was fully awake. It seemed Konori had the same effect on Shirai as Aizawa had on Mix. Intimidation level 100.
Shirai: R-Right! I'll get out there immediately! When did Mix get here?
Mix: When you got knocked out.
Shirai: Oh. Are you coming on patrol?
Mix: Mhmm.
Shirai: Okay then. Just try to keep up, alright?
Mix: W-Will do..
Mix thinking: Keep up? How hard could walking around the city be..?
