By the time the three of them got back, the battle was already over. Shirai and Misaka were sitting in the road, looking worn out. Tina was reloading her gun, and Morgan's uncle was wiping something dark blue off his katana.
Ty: I take it it's over?
Tina: Yes. Once you three left, Kagetane's group retreated. Once the giant skeleton was defeated, so did Milim's group.
Uncle: I almost had Walker. I took his eye.
Mix: Wow..
Mix, thinking: So a slower teleporter like me would be skewered by him. Noted.
Morgan: Damn it.. Kagetane just had to show up, didn't he..
Uncle: He always does.
Mix: Who is he? We don't exactly know.
Morgan: A madman from our world. He interferes with things involving us whenever he gets the chance. Sometimes he's on our side, sometimes not. Depends on what he's after. This time it seems he's on neither side.
Ty: Great, so more people to attack us all the time.
Morgan: If we can figure out what he wants we can probably deal with him. Or at least bargain for him to stay out of the way.
Shirai: But then there'd still be EM's group to deal with. They're got all those demons now..
Misaka: Yeah.. There was no end to them.
Morgan: We can take care of them. An army of lesser demons is nothing compared to any of our other problems, realistically. We all know what Milim did to the city before.
Ty: Yeah... In one blast..
Mix: Can't any of you Guardians do something overpowered like that?
Morgan: In a way, yes. But I'd rather we not also tear the city to pieces. Not anymore than the mech fights already do.
Mix: I guess that makes sense.. speaking of the mechs, I wanted to tell you something.
Mix then pulls out Frozen Soldier.
Mix: It's about soldier. Something weirds been going on with him.. Something about merging? And phases, I think.
Morgan: Hm? I've never heard of that.. I programmed the mechs myself, so whatever's going on with soldier is because of you.
Mix: O-Oh..
Morgan: Not in a bad way, dummy. Think about it. Frozen Soldier only exists because of you. It was the ice dragon before you activated it. Whatever it's doing, it's something made specifically for you.
Mix: Ohhh.. well, okay then..
Misaka: The suns starting to go down now. We should probably head back to UA.
Ty: Yeah. C'mon, let's go.
As everyone started heading back to the dorms, Mix looked at Frozen Soldier again.
Mix, thinking: Whatever's going on with you, I hope I figure out what it is soon..

Meanwhile, Milim and Walker returned to EM in the underground lab. Hearing about Skull being killed had him in.. a bit of a bad mood.
He destroyed an entire room with his scythe.
Milim: Wow..
Her and Walker were watching him go crazy on a wall, from a very, very safe distance.
Milim: It's not often he gets mad like this..
Walker: Apparently he cared for his creation quite dearly.
Milim: Yeah..
Personally, Milim couldn't care less about Skull being dead. She never liked her to begin with.
Milim: Oh hey, how's your eye by the way?
Near the end of the fight, a certain speed using swordsman had slashed Walker's left eye, partially blinding him.
Walker: It'll heal in time. I'm annoyed I let him hit me though..
Milim: Eh, it happens. As long as you heal before you fight again, it's fine. Just crush him next time!
Walker: Heh.. thanks for the enthusiasm. Don't worry. I won't fail next time we meet.

Kagetane stood on the edge of a rooftop, overlooking the city before him. Behind him was Steve and Kohina. Kohina was skipping around, mumbling something about killing, and Steve looked annoyed.
Steve: As fun as all that chaos was, I need to know something.
Kagetane turned to face the goat demon, now in human form.
Kagetane: Oh? And what would that be, my horned friend.
Steve seemed annoyed by that comment, but he brushed it off.
Steve: What's your goal. Someone who's strong enough to draw against a Guardian like you did must have one.
Kagetane smirked behind his mask, despite it not being seen.
Kagetane: EM is in this world to kill Mix, so he can become powerful enough to do whatever he pleases. If he succeeds, who knows what he'll do. If Mix on the other hand is to kill EM, as could happen, he as well would gain power. I'm not really a fan of any version of m'boy gaining that much power.
Steve: So? Are we killing one of them?
Kagetane: Not quite.
He turned again, facing the city once more.
Kagetane: We'll take Mix and hide him away. It'll make for a fun little game of Morgan and EM racing to get him.
Steve seemed surprised by this rather strange idea, but.. it did sound fun.
Steve: Alright. I'm in.
He grinned, excited by the idea of getting to fight some more.
Kagetane: Very good. Before that though.. I'd like to cause a bit more chaos.
