At the time EM and his group had arrived at Kagetane's little party, so had some others as well.
Ty: Can anyone tell what they're saying?
Ty and the others were all currently on a rooftop roughly thirty stories up. They were directly across the street from Kagetane's rubble, and they'd yet to be spotted.
Uncle: The only one of us who could even have a chance of hearing from up here is Tina.
Everyone turned to the blonde girl, but she just lightly shook her head no. She was already busy with a different task. The orbs that made up her shenfield floated around her, helping her senses go into overdrive by feeding tons of information directly to her brain. She was staring at the buildings around them, often switching where she's looking as she moves from place to place with her eyes.
Tina: I can't detect sound without sending the orbs closer. And I need them here so I can keep searching.
Tina's top priority right now was figuring out where Mix and Saten were. She was currently scanning all the nearby buildings, but had yet to find them.
Morgan: That's fine then. They've gotta be in one of these buildings.. There's no way he's down there in that rubble.
Misaka: It does sound pretty ridiculous.
Shirai: Plus that'd mean his captives are just sitting out in the open. He's clearly crazy, but not stupid.
Morgan: Exactly. There's gotta be something here that we're missing..
Despite having Tina search the buildings for them, they all knew their friends likely weren't in any of them. Mix could teleport! As long as there's light, he could blip at least once before that noise took him out.
Uncle: Remember that there's an ability disabling noise in play here, you two.
Ty: Is there any way to deal with it..?
Shirai: We've dealt with it a few times before. If it goes off though the two of us will be down for the count.
Misaka: And by that she means we've been taken out by it a few times. You can't deal with it unless you destroy its source.
Ty: So like a phone or a speaker?
Shirai: Exactly. If you hear it and can locate its source, please smash it quickly.
Ty: Got it.
Tina: I'm still not seeing Mix or Saten anywhere.
Morgan: Dang it! We've gotta figure out where he is before anything starts happening.
Uncle: Agreed. There's gonna be one hell of a fight once things get ugly. Hey.. look down there.
Morgan turned to the rubble of a building Kagetane stood atop as her uncle pointed to it. Following his pointing, Morgan saw a staircase leading underground.
Morgan: That's gotta be it! Tina, look underneath the ground over there!
Tina: Already on it.
Tina had already shifted her attention to down below once Morgan was told to look.
Tina: There's a building there. It goes deep underground.
Ty: Is anyone down there?
Tina: I'm still searching.. Wait, yes. There's two heat signatures at the bottom floor. They're close together and not moving.
Morgan: There's no way that isn't them.
Misaka: So now all we've gotta do is get past Kagetane, EM and his demon entourage without being noticed?
Morgan: That's not gonna happen. There's no way any of us could sneak by right now. We're gonna have to wait until fighting starts, or start it ourselves.
Ty: Great.. It's gonna be a war zone down there.
Uncle: We can handle them. We just need to-
Tina: We have a problem.
Morgan: Huh? What is it?
Tina: Take a look for yourself.
Everyone looked down at the ground and were surprised by what they saw. A very familiar goat man, but purple.
Ty: He's alive? Again?!
Shirai: Haven't you guys blown him to pieces twice already?
Ty: Yeeep..
The next thing they knew, the building and the entire area around them began to rumble. Soon Steve, or rather The Gleam Eyes, was massive. His head right next to them now.
Morgan, thinking: Is he gonna try to trample EM..?
Nope. He immediately turned to stare down Morgan and the others.
Ty: And now we're doing round three I guess.
