The next thing Mix knew he was waking up flat on his back in a crater.

Said crater was, all things considered, enormous from what Mix could tell as he sat up and looked around. He was somewhat near the bottom, so it was easy to see the overall scale of it. And said scale was huge.

Mix: Yep.. He wasn't kidding about being a demon lord. This definitely matches Milim's display from back then.

Mix couldn't help but compare the explosion's aftermath to what Milim had caused back in the underground laboratory. The massive line of destruction from her Drago Nova attack was still there, just like this crater would likely stick around for quite some time.

Mix: This city is more wreckage and ruble than it is a city at this point.. And on top of that I'm apparently a hypocrite.

Mix, thinking: What was it I said before? "Don't make a bomb if you can't get away from it, dumbass," or something like that? Yeah, great advice if you actually follow it.

Getting to his feet slowly, Mix brushed himself off while realizing he was still exhausted.

Mix: Guess blacking out for a while doesn't really help you get back much energy. I'm sore as hell.. Could be worse though. After being hit by an explosion that big, you'd think I'd.. be.. dead...

Mix, thinking: Wait a second.

Frozen Soldier. Where was he!

He was fused together with his tiny metal companion before the blast happened, and now they were separated. So where'd he end up?! Looking around frantically, Mix soon spotted him a little ways up the crater. Slowly stumbling his way over to the little guy, he didn't like what he found.

Mix: O-Oh no..

The tiny figurine sized soldier was far more than just banged up looking. His entire body was covered in pink cracks, as if he'd taken the entire blast instead of splitting it with Mix.

Mix: You took the blow again for me, huh..?

Mix crouched down and picked up the machine that had helped him defeat the demon lord.

Mix: Thank you. Again. For helping me get this far. I hope Morgan can fix you.

Instinctively reaching over his back for his bag, Mix realized it wasn't going to be there.

Mix: Oh. Wait, it's there. Alright then.

Apparently since he'd fused with solider while wearing it, his bag was still strapped over his back. He slipped soldier inside, finding there weren't many stars remaining inside.

Mix, thinking: Guess I used most of them up against Walker. I wonder where he went, anyways..

That question soon wouldn't matter as Mix's attention was pulled to something much more pressing.

???: Tch.. Damn it.. You're quite the annoying pest, you know that?

Mix: Shit...

Mix turned to face the nearby center of the crater to see the fight wasn't over just yet. getting to his feet in the flat center of the crater, was EM.

Mix, thinking: He looks worn out, but that's it..? Well, I guess I'm in the same situation, but still. This is bad..

EM looked up at the teleporter, raising out his arm and creating his scythe.

EM: Get down here. I'm done with this infuriating world.

Mix: It's not like I've got a choice, right?

Closing his eyes for a moment, Mix took a deep breath and reached into his bag. Grabbing two handfuls of throwing stars, his eyes snapped open as he blipped into the air.
