Steve barged into EM's hideout looking incredibly ticked off.
Steve: WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!
Milim: Woah, what's your problem?
Skull: He didn't bring back master's other self. That'll be his problem.
EM: Agreed..
Steve: Maybe I would've been able to if you'd warned me about the GIANT DAMN ROBOTS!!
Milim: Ohhh.. Did we not tell you about those?
She tilts her head innocently, ticking him off further.
Steve: NO, you didn't!!
Skull: If you're such a powerful demon then you should've been able to handle them.
Steve, Have you fought them??
Skull: No. I haven't had to. But if I did, I'd destroy them.
Steve: Yeah, good luck with that. The best I could do was put a hole in one before the two of them mixed together and tried to blow me up!!
EM: Two?
Steve: Yeah, there were two of them. That isn't the point Damn it!
EM: Well it is now. There's supposed to be four of them. Could it be they were taken out when Milim attacked..
Milim: Hehehe! See? I really am the greatest! Even when I made it easy for him he couldn't beat them! Some minion you are!
Skull: Weren't you saying before about how much greater than me he was?
Milim: I- ... grrrrrrr..
Skull: Shut up already! You summoned me to fight more than just kids! And besides that, what universe are we even in?!
EM: How do you.. know about there being other universes?
Steve: Who doesn't..? I've been in at least three of them.
Milim: How's that possible? I just brought you into this one!
Steve sighed, then leaned against a pillar, getting tired of these people.
Steve: The underworld is a universe completely of its own. When something "evil" dies, it goes there. If it's strong enough, it retains its memory and form as I have. If it's weak, it becomes a weak, lesser demon. There's thousands of them down there. Point is, everything evil that dies ends up there, and if they're revived, they can be taken into any universe. So, which one are we in!
EM: One where almost everyone has some annoying power or ability. Even the kids are a pain to handle.
Steve thought about it for a minute, then nodded.
Steve: I've heard of it, but can't say I've been here before.. Definitely not the worst place to end up. Not a great one either though.
Milim: What'd the worst one be?
Milim looks curious, as if she wants to know where the best challenge is.
Steve: The one where the Guardians dwell. It's the closest to the center of everything, so it has the most energy. The Guardians almost seem to just absorb it all and become total powerhouses. It's where I came from originally.
Milim: Uhh, hate to break it to ya, but we're fighting some of those guys here.
Steve: Great..
EM: They followed me and Milim here. Although since you didn't know that, I take it they weren't there?
Steve: No, they weren't. Or at least I don't think so. Just two boys and a little girl with a big gun.
EM: Well, I'm sure they'll be back. So be ready for when we send you out again.
Steve: Oh no you don't. I'm not dealing with those crazies.
Milim: Yes you are. I order you to!
Steve: I'm not taking orders from you, kid!
Milim: I AM NOT A KID!!
Her eyes glow red as she appears in front of Steve in an instant and takes a swing at him. He went to block, but it didn't matter. She put so much force into it he went right through the concrete pillar behind him.
Steve: AGH!
He slammed into the ground, then got up quickly, looking around angrily like a wild animal.
Milim: I am a demon lord! You will obey me!
Steve: Heh. Like hell I will. I'm outa here!
He then turned and jumped out of the ruined parking garage, falling several stories before hitting the ground and running off.
Milim: Hey! He can't just run off like that!!
Skull pulls out her bow and spins it around into its scythe form.
Skull: Allow me to pursue him, master.
EM: No need. He won't be of any use to us anyway. He's already given me all the information I could possibly need.
As the sun began to set, Steve ran off for his own agenda, and EM began a new plan. A new day was coming, and it was sure to be an eventful one..
