When Mix had become Fusion Soldier and the once underground building reverted to its original placement only to immediately collapse, EM and Milim had still been fighting against Misaka and Shirai nearby. Unfortunately for EM and Milim, they'd been losing the entire time. EM being out powered by the level five that is Misaka, and Milim not wanting to get EM caught in any massive explosions, meaning she had to hold back on her teleporting opponent.
When the building appeared and fell apart though, all four of them had to get clear quickly.
Once the dust settled, EM found himself in an alleyway a ways down the road. Looking for the source of the sudden destruction, he found the massive Frozen Soldier standing where the building had appeared.
EM: It's even bigger than normal..? Wait..
From what he'd been told about the robots these kids used, the one that looked like a person belonged to the version of him he was here to kill. And that meant-
EM, thinking: He's free?! Damn it! What happened to Walker!
A moment later, Milim came up behind him.
Milim: EM! You're okay!
EM: Of course. I'm glad you got away from the falling rubble too.
Milim: Hehe, yeah. I'm too fast for something like that to hit me!
EM: I'm glad. Although we do seem to have a problem here..
Milim: The big robot guy?
EM: Yeah. It belongs to the other me, however.. something feels different. It feels as if his energy isn't inside the robot.. but it is the robot.
Milim: Huh..? Oh yeah, it does feel that way. Weird.
It was then that Mix yelled out for Shirai to come and get Saten. It was also then that Misaka found them peering out of the alleyway. She came down from the rooftops and landed behind him, further in the alley.
Misaka: Ah, there you are. I was wondering where you two went.
EM: So you didn't get crushed either..
Misaka: Of course not. Now, shall we continue?
He body began firing off sparks in all directions, powering up as she walked towards them. The iron sand was swirling around her on the ground as well, as if waiting for the signal to pounce.
EM: Is the other girl gone now? I don't see her behind you.
Misaka: She's busy right now. Luckily, I'm still free. So like I said, it's time to continue!
Because she was deeper in the alleyway, Misaka was concealed in the shadows rather well. The only light being the sparks that came off her. However, EM managed to see the glint of a coin flipping through the air. With an angered expression, EM managed to extend all his tentacles to shield Milim and himself just in time as a railgun blast slammed into them. The tentacles took the blast, but EM was knocked out into the street along with Milim.
As both of them got to their feet quickly, Misaka came out into the light as well.
Milim: Thanks for the save EM.
EM: Don't mention it dear. Now get ready. This girls strong.. Very strong.
Milim: Yeah, I know.. We can take her though!
EM: I hope that's true.
They watched as Misaka approached. The storm of black iron sand kicking up around her once again. It also solidified into two swords in her hands.
EM creates his scythe and let's out a small sigh.
EM: Here we go again.
The next few minutes weren't so great for the husband and wife duo, as they were essentially fighting a force of nature. Fighting Misaka right now was like attacking a tornado made of blades, and nothing could slow it down. EM's tentacles got shredded by it, and his scythe could only put a small gash in the storm before it patched itself up immediately.
