Mix entered the classroom with a few minutes to spare, and took his seat between Morgan's and Shirai's.
Morgan: Hey Mix.
Mix took a piece of toast out of his mouth, which he had swiped from Ty on the way there.
Mix: Hey. Good morning.
Shirai: Morning. Nice of you to show up.
Mix: Wha..?
Why did both of them sound upset with him...?
Mix: Did I do something..?
Morgan: No. That's the problem though.
Mix: Um.. I'm sorry..?
Shirai: You should be. We needed you.
Mix: Needed me where? When?
Morgan: She didn't tell you?
Mix: No. wait who didn't?
Shirai: Saten.
Mix: Saten..? Can you please just tell me what happened? I'm confused.
Morgan sighed then was about to explain, but was stopped by the bell ringing.
Mix thinking: Damn it. I wanna know what's going on.
He then remembered he needed to ask Morgan about Frozen Soldier. He wrote "soldier?" on a slip of paper and passed it to Morgan. She read it, then slipped the small robot out of her bag and passed it to Mix under the desks. He smiled, relieved to see it, then stowed it away in his bag. Now to pay attention to class starting. First period came and went at a stupidly slow speed, then it was time for second, which was combat training today! Meaning he'd be able to talk with them. The class all gathered their gear and regrouped in one of the school's many gyms. Everyone then split up into groups of three conveniently, and started fighting. Of course Mix grouped up with Morgan and Shirai.
Mix: So what kind of maintenance did soldier need?
He asks as he teleports through the air, dodging Morgan's giant waves of ice. Shirai doing the same as both of them are trying to "detain" her.
Morgan: Repairs? I was basically piecing him back together!
Mix: What?! But I didn't damage him! At least not majorly.
Shirai: Yes, you didn't. However you also weren't there last night.
Mix dodged another wave of ice, and landed on top of a spike, as did Shirai.
Mix: What happened last night?
Shirai: An attack. EM's massive monsters attacked and you weren't there.
Mix: What?!
Morgan: Tina texted you, but instead Saten showed up with Frozen Soldier. The fight was a win for us, but also a disaster.
Shirai: Why weren't you there!
Mix: I- I have no idea! All that happened last night was a got to my room and then.. Saten helped me fall asleep..
Morgan: So she would've been the one to see Tina's texts?
Mix: Yeah...
Shirai: Why didn't she wake you then..? She just told us you were busy..
Mix: I.. don't know. I'll ask her tonight, okay?
Morgan sighed, then nodded.
Morgan: Alright. By the way, I'm gonna be gone this weekend. The serpent and phoenix need repairs I can only do back in my world. I managed to fix soldier and the lion last night though.
Mix: Okay. Thanks for fixing him.
Morgan: You're welcome. Now dodge!
She sent more ice at them, considering they were still in class after all. The two teleporters dodged and went back to focusing on the fight at hand. However, Mix couldn't help but wonder.
Why did Saten not wake him up last night?
