When Jin started asking Taehyung about the relationship between Melanie and Yoongi, he knew something must have happened. He didn't care that he had to get on board of the first flight, his only thought was about getting there to see her.
He had met Jin's friends a couple of times, and sometimes they seemed a little bit intense. He was scared that they will put her against the wall and demand things. He knew they weren't bad people, but the thought of her alone in a stressful situation, was not making him feel better.
She sent him a quick text to where she will be, so he found her at the pool bar. Her back was turned to him, but she looked like she was thinking intensely about something. She was tracing an unknown pattern with her thumb across the bar counter. He heard her sigh.
Taehyung smiled. He went behind her back and covered her eyes. "Guess who."
Melanie almost fell from her seat. She squealed and jumped in his arms. "Tae, oh my God."
Taehyung laughed and spin her a couple of times before releasing her. "What's up?"
Melanie sighed again and sat back on her seat. "I think I'm too stupid to survive on my own." Sadness filled her words.
He shook his head. Ever since she and Yoongi started dating, he confidence slowly dropped. Taehyung didn't like him one bit. "What happened?" He asked after ordering a bottle of cold water.
"I'm afraid to tell you." She covered her face with her hands.
"Seriously?" He arched his eyebrow. "Since when? Bitch, you even told me about your first time."
She playfully punched his arm. "I did something bad." She mumbled under her breath.
"Okay." He got up from the seat with a serious expression on his face. "Where's the body?"
Looking at his funny face, she burst out laughing. "God, I've missed you so much."
"That's why I'm here." He took a sip from his water and winked at her. "I couldn't let you have all the fun. What did you do though?"
Melanie sighed. "I had a one stand with Namjoon."
"That's it?" He asked shocked. He was expecting something far worse.
"I don't do one night stands. This isn't me." Ever since she met Yoongi, she changed and she didn't like it.
"So?" Taehyung shrugged. "It's once in a lifetime. It's not like you go around and sleep with guys for fun."
She rolled her eyes. "I know it's stupid, but I feel like I cheated on Yoongi."
"You got to be kidding." He ran his hand through his hair. "He's married with your sister. If I were you, I would have cheated on him while you were still together. Just to give him a taste of his own medicine."
"I still love him Tae. What I did was stupid. I should have married him and move on. But no, I had to be me and walk away from the altar."
"I never liked him for you. He didn't know how to make you happy. Not only did he treat you like shit, but he also cheated on you multiple times. With your own sister."
"Then why do I feel like I made the worst mistake of my life?" Her eyes was tearing up.
She tried to blink away the tears, yet she couldn't. She felt miserable for what she did. The only person who she could be true with, was her best friend. She couldn't even talk to her mother, she was completely cut off from her family.
Taehyung shook his head and wiped her tears with his thumb. "Because you have never done it before. Because you loved someone who didn't loved you back. It's not ideal what you did it's not condemnable either. You are a free woman and both of you are two consenting adults."
"I know." She lowered her head and looked at her flip flops.
"Bitch, I didn't come all the way here to sulk. Now, let's have some fun." He beamed. "By the way, did you found a pretty girl for me?"
"What?" Her eyes widened at his question.
"I can't let you have all the fun. I have to get myself a room."
"You can always sleep in mine." She shrugged. "Yoongi has already paid for it."
Taehyung laughed. "I would love to, but what do we do if I come back with a girl? Ready for a threesome?" He winked at her.
Melanie burst out laughing. "Yeewww... God no. I don't want all your private parts all over mine."
He laughed back. "I had to do it."
"That would be incest." She mumbled in a dry voice, trying to contain her laughter.
"So true." He intertwined his fingers with hers. "How about some shopping?"
Melanie jumped form her seat and started clapping. "Perfect. But not those expensive stores you love so much. I'm on a tight budget here."
He rolled his eyes. "I'm sure."
Jimin decided to take matters into his own hands, that's how he ended up at the bar listening to the conversation Melanie and Taehyung had. The truth was that even though Yoongi was with someone else, she did love him. She admitted herself.
He wondered why did she slept with Namjoon if she still had feeling for her ex? Only if he wasn't her ex, and everything was just a decoy to some dark plan to play with his friend. Yoongi was that much capable of doing.
He remembered a time when they were all inseparable friends. They spent most of their time together. He couldn't think of one single thing that might have made Yoongi the rotten person he was. He did believe however, that there had to be something. Something that neither of them knew.
His phone suddenly rang, bringing him back from his thoughts. "I believe I told you Park, to take the damn construction sign down." Ivy yelled at him.
He sighed. "Ivy, a pleasure as always. What have I done now?" He asked in an amused tone, though he felt like anything but amused.
She pinched the bridge of her nose. "Park, I told you to take down the constructions sign. You're not getting the permit." She said lowering her tone of voice.
"I've done everything that was required from. I did my application form, I prepared the site..."
He was cut short. "You still haven't scheduled an appointment for plan approval."
"Look Ivy, next week I'm flying over there. Let's have a dinner and catch up. Shall we?" Jimin said in a seductive voice.
"You can't fool me with your pretty eyes Park." She sighed over the phone. "Fine. I'll give you one chance to prove yourself. Bring me your plan and explain in details what you want to do, don't leave anything out."
"Yes mam." He joked. A small smile appeared on his face.
"Park?" She asked in a sweet voice.
"Yes?"
"I still don't like you." She added in a dry voice before hanging up.
Jimin looked at his phone and smiled. "For now." He replied as he put his phone in his pocket. One way or another, she will agree with him.
