When Victoria woke up, she didn't expect the media to go into a frenzy about what happened a night before. Even she had a hard time grasping what was going on. A night before, Yoongi had called her to come pick him up from a bar. She didn't expect him to be wrapped up into a tight embrace with another woman. She couldn't say it didn't hurt, because it did, to a certain extent.
Seeing him touch another one, kiss different lips, made her feel insignificant. Small. Useless. But it wasn't her heart that hurt, what hurt the most was the fact that he had so little consideration for her, that he didn't even respect her enough not to do what he had done. She knew he didn't love her and it didn't matter. She was loyal to him. Yet, his loyalty didn't match hers. That was something she couldn't get over. She waited until he was finished and drove him home. His smug look pissed her off. As if it was some stupid competition between them and he had won it. She could have been brutal, or violent, but what would have been the point? She would have only made a mockery of herself, yet, he was the one who mocked what little did they had.
Yes it hurt, but she didn't show it. She kept her emotions bottled up as always. He might have won the round, but he had lost her completely. So, she did what any she thought it was the best. She waited for a night. A night spent staring at the ceiling, thinking over and over again, what could she possibly do.
She took a relaxing shower. She did her makeup flawlessly. She dressed as he had never seen her. A very short skirt, a revealing shirt that had a very exposing cleavage. A pair of high heels and a clutch. She had a point to make. Last thing he wanted him to think, was the fact that he could do whatever he wanted and she'd stay at home baking apple pies.
Victoria knew who Yoongi was. She knew what would tick him off. And she will play her cards to the point where he was driven mad. From that moment forward, he had lost her respect and her loyalty. She was done helping him. She was done pretending to be the wife he wanted her to be. She wasn't Melanie. She didn't need anyone. She was Victoria. And Victoria was a lone Ranger. just how she always was. No family, no friends and now, no husband to support her. Not that she had that in the past, but it was easy to pretend they had her back.
Driven by her bravery, armed with sex appeal, dressed to kill and a newspaper in her hand, she drove to the building that once belonged to her father. Yoongi was now the CEO. A position she placed him in. Never once she emasculated him. She gave him all the credit. She never spit it out in his face. Yet, he was the first one to break their unspoken rule. Be loyal.
She marched inside the office building as if she owned the place, to a certain extent she did. She was still a major shareholder. She brushed off his secretary and her pathetic excuse that tried to stop her from reaching out to the man she once had feelings for. She could forgive almost anything. She didn't care if he cheated on her. She didn't care if he had a mistress hidden in some corner. All she wanted was for him to not flaunt it in her face, for everyone to know their business. Victoria looked at the door. The bold letters of his name and position laughed in her face.
She pushed the door open with more force than necessary. He jumped up startled upon seeing her so sudden in his office. His eyes bulged out when he saw how she was dressed. Her long legs on full display. Her deep cleavage. She was a snack.
Yoongi cleared his throat and rose to his feet. "What the hell are you doing here?" His reprimanding voice echoed through the room.
Victoria scoffed and threw the paper on his desk. "I never pegged you as a fool Min. This is the last straw."
He slowly picked up the paper and read the headline. He raised his eyebrow. "Are you jealous?"
"Oh please." She rolled her eyes. "I would need a reason to be jealous."
