Taehyung was in his hotel room with a girl he picked up at the bar, that left Melanie to wonder alone at night, on the beach. Maybe her best friend didn't point her fingers at her and called her a slut for her one night stand, but she was the one to blame herself for what she did.

The ocean was violently throwing its waves to the shore. A storm could be seen far away in the horizon. She took of her slippers and dug her feet into the cold water. She kept looking down, trying to find a reason to smile. She was on a beautiful beach, her best friend was with her, then why was she feeling so lonely? A wave hit her and one of her slippers slipped from her hand and fell into the water.

"My slipper." She yelled as she tried to catch it.

A sudden wave knocked her off her feet. She tried to get up, but the sand seemed to slip underneath her. Every time she managed to raise to her feet a bit, another wave knocked her back. Her hair was all over her face and she couldn't open her eyes. She gasped for air as she fought the urge to give up and allow the water to take her.

Melanie was trembling, muffled screams came out of her mouth. She was fully panicking. She didn't knew how to swim and the water terrified her at that point. Suddenly she felt a pair of strong arms around her, scooping her up. She burst out crying, hiding her face in the crook of his neck.

Namjoon sat on the sand, far away from the water, holding her in his arms, rocking her back and fourth until she stopped crying and trembling. Only muffled sobs could be heard from her, as the ocean continued with its own music. He had no intention to follow her at first, he just noticed her staring blankly in the distance when he decided to walk behind her. When he saw her struggling to get to her feet, he couldn't stay away. There was no one on the beach that could jump in and save her, except him.

When she finally regained her senses, she realized someone was holding her. She wiped her remaining tears and slid away from him. When she realized that the one holding her was Namjoon, she stopped breathing.

"Are you okay?" He asked tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. He let his hand lingering a moment longer on her cheeks.

Melanie drew a sharp breath in. "Yeah. I'm so sorry." She was embarrassed for what had happened. She was a complete idiot. He must laugh at her expense behind her back. "I need to go." She hastily got up to her feet and because of that, she took a few seconds to get rid of the dizziness that was swirling around her.

Namjoon rolled his eyes and took off after her. He grabbed her hand and spin her so he could face her. "Why were you crying?"

He didn't want to barge in her life, ever since he had laid his eyes on her, he wanted to know her better. Of course that the possibility of Yoongi playing him still lingered in the back of his mind. In that moment, he didn't really care about anything else except her.

"It's nothing really." She muttered. There was no life behind her words, her eyes stared blankly at her feet.

"Let's sit for a little bit longer." He intertwined his fingers with hers and somehow managed to put her on the sand. He was hugging her from behind, his head leaned on hers. A sob escaped her lips.

"I'm sorry. It was a mistake sleeping with you. You might think I'm a slut." Her head dropped and she hid her face behind her hands.

"I don't think it was a mistake." He smirked. His eyes looked at the black and threatening horizon. A lighting lit up the sky and she shivered. "You're not a slut for having a one night stand. Shit happens. Don't ever slut shame yourself for that."

"Still, it shouldn't happen. I'm not like this."

"Why don't you tell me how you are?"

She turned around and pleaded with her eyes. "Please believe me when I say I didn't plan it. That Yoongi sent me here to do something to you. I would never use you. I'm not like that. Please believe me."
