The sight was spectacular. When Namjoon told Melanie that he had a surprise for her, the girl had no idea what to expect. She definitely did not expect him to prepare a dinner date on a footbridge that was a few feet away from the land, and on top of the water. Lit candles lead the pathway, and a soft tune was heard from a man playing the violin not far away, but still close to hear the music.

"I hope you like it." Namjoon wanted to do something nice for her. They haven't had a date in a such a long time, and he felt bad for not doing it sooner.

"Joonie..." She wrapped her arms around his waist and kissed him. "It's beautiful. Thank you."

Namjoon was a perfect gentleman as always. He pushed the chair so she could sit, then he sat at the table too. They ate and talked about their day. He told her about the new contract he received that was giving him a headache, as he had no idea why he received it in the first place. He didn't tell her anything about the girl, not because he was afraid she might get the wrong idea, mostly because it was a hard thing to understand himself.

Melanie told him about the new job, and how happy she was that finally she had the freedom to do what she loved the most. Working in a company where she can grow and make a career out of it. She was pleasantly surprised to see Namjoon listening to her without interrupting, eating her words and just look at her with loving eyes.

His aura was so powerful, it almost knocked the air out of her. She could feel his love for her through all her pores. It was such an amazing feeling when the person you love, loves you back and takes time to really show it too.

She had to give it to Taehyung. Without her best friend, she might have lost the precious, beautiful, little moments that she shared with Namjoon.

Namjoon looked at her as if she was the only being on the face of the earth. He couldn't imagine his life without her. He had to say thanks to Yoongi for not marrying her, it gave him the opportunity to find her.

He got up to his feet, took her hand and walked to the edge of the bridge. They sat down on the wooden ground and Namjoon wrapped a blanket around them, he was holding her in his arms, his head resting on her shoulder.

"Mel? Are you happy with me? Are you happy in our relationship?" He asked in a low voice. The music was still playing in the background..

Melanie smiled. "I was never happier Joon. Everything you do for me, it's incredible. I can't believe I get to have you. I'm just afraid that I might not be what you want or need in the long run."

He tightened the grip on her. "You changed my life in the best way possible. Coming home to you after a long day, it's the best feeling in the world. I'm no longer alone, I have you. And contrary to what you think, you are exactly what I need and want. I'm afraid that I might scare you sometimes."

Melanie laughed. "You are intense sometimes, I'm still getting used to how it feels to be loved and cherished."

"As you should be. I want you to be one hundred percent sure of my feelings and your place in my heart."

Melanie's heart could burst out due to the amount of love she received from Namjoon. Placing her fate in him, had never proven to be so right. It was amazing what a good person could do to your psychic. He gave her the freedom she needed, he didn't overstep his boundaries, not even once. Whenever she needed an advice, he would listen and gave her an insight, but at the end of the day, he gave her space to make her own choices.

The only thing she still had to fix, was the problem her parents faced. Melanie asked Namjoon to look into the CEO changing papers, without any luck in finding anything that she could use to put her father back in his position. What was weirder, was the fact that all the shareholders already signed his demotion. Thank God the family still had their own company shares. She wondered what was her sister's plan. Why did Victoria do it? What could she gain from putting Yoongi as the new CEO?

The rest of the night was spent with them cuddling in each others arms. Nothing could have been more perfect for Namjoon. Having his loved one in his arms, was the most precious thing one could ask for.

Jin was starting to grow fonder of Melanie. She did her job well and paid attention to the little details, that sometimes mattered the most. Working for him was never easy. While he was at work, he was a demanding boss. He didn't care who you were, where you came from, as long as you did your job the right way. As a boss, he never gave second chances. One small screw up could cost him his family business.

He was looking over some contracts when his office phone rang to let him know Namjoon wanted to talk to him.

"Let him in." Jin told Melanie. Namjoon entered the office with a gloom look on his face. "Rough night?" He asked, laughing.

"Nah. I wish. I mean, partial. I need some advice." It wasn't unusual for Namjoon to consult with his friends. They sometimes did this when in need of a different perspective.

"What is it?" All traces of amusement had left Jin's face. He was back at being the businessman he was known for.

Namjoon gave him a folder with the new contract he received. "I looked into it together with my lawyer, he says everything is fine."

Jin took his time to read the papers. "Everything seems alright. What's the problem?"

"I don't know. I don't feel good about this deal?"

"How did you manage to get it?" Jin asked, crossing his arms on his chest and leaned back on his chair. "I know for a fact that it's hard to catch this fish."

"It came to me as a present." Namjoon ran his hand through his hair. "From Victoria. Yoongi's new wife."

Jin raised his eyebrow. "You're kidding, right?"

"No. Which is why I'm reluctant to agree."

"How do you even know her?" Jin leaned on his desk and linked his hands together.

Namjoon didn't want to tell him. It wasn't even his story to tell. "I can't talk about it."

"Okay. I just hope you don't cheat on Melanie with her sister. That would be a dick move. Plus, it would make sense why Yoongi is out to get you."

"Nothing is going on between Victoria and I. There are some stuff I can't talk about since it's not my story to tell. It happened a very long time ago, anyway."

"Okay then. Thanks for clarifying. Now, why don't you go ask her? The contract seems too good to pass on, but if you need more confirmation, go to her."

"You think it's the right thing to do?"

Jin shrugged. "It's the only thing that makes sense. You need answers and she's the one that did it."

Namjoon agreed. Jin gave him her address, but couldn't help ask himself what the hell happened between those two. Was it Namjoon's fault that Yoongi suddenly stopped talking to them? That didn't make any sense either. If that would have been the issue, it would mean that Yoongi was jealous. And for Yoongi to be jealous, he should be in love with the girl. But Yoongi was only in love with one girl, and that was a long time ago.
