"If anyone knows why this couple should not wed, speak now or forever be quiet." The priest announced to the gathering.

The bride smiled. "Now that you mention, I do have something to say."

The audience gasped at the audacity of the bride. "What are you doing?" The groom muttered under his breath. Flashes of anger playing in his eyes.

"I'm stopping this wedding myself." She turned around and gave her flowers to the closest maid of honor. She took of the veil and threw it in her sister's hands. "I'm not the one you should marry."

"What are you talking about?" The groom asked in a loud voice. His palms turned into fists. He was shaking with anger. "I didn't pay to have this lavish wedding, just so you could walk away from the altar."

"The way I see it, I'm giving you your freedom back. You don't need to sleep with my sister behind my back. You can do it in the open now." The bride winked. Her heart was beating fast in her chest.

Taking down her skirt, having pants underneath, she felt the weight of the world on her shoulders. She knew the consequences of her actions. Her family would lose everything they build so far just because of one man, Min Yoongi.

She allowed herself to be pulled in the fantasy he offered her, the myriad of feelings he showered her with, only for him to play with others behind her back. To sleep with her sister a night before their wedding. It was obvious his love for her wasn't that strong. Or real.

"You're overreacting as always." Her sister replied rolling her eyes.

"Oh, I don't think I'm overreacting enough." The bride announced in a flat voice. She was hurt beyond words. At least the veil of lies was taken from her eyes. She walked away from the altar, leaving everyone dumbfounded behind.

"Melanie Waters, if you take one step forward you will pay dearly for the disrespect." Yoongi's voice echoed between the church's walls, making her stop.

She turned around to face him. "My disrespect?" She yelled back at him, loosing for the first time her composure. "What about your disrespect? We were supposed to marry today, yet, last night you had sex with my sister. What? You think I wouldn't eventually find out? How stupid do you think I am?" She took a menacing step towards him. "How could I say yes and spend the rest of my life with someone who doesn't even care about me? I loved you. I gave you everything I had good in me. You gave nothing back." She took a deep breath to steady herself. "I'm leaving. I'm going in our so called honeymoon, so don't you dare annul it. It's the least you could do."

"Do something." Yoongi commanded her father.

Mr. Waters got up to his feet. "If you leave this wedding, you will be cut off from the inheritance. You will no longer have us as a family." Her mother gasped upon hearing his words. She tried to say something, but her husband made her not to. "Think about what you will loose."

Melanie smiled sadly and gave her parents a short hug. "I know. And I'm not losing much." With those final words, she walked out of the church.

Her father's words stung her heart, but she knew the meaning behind it. They might not help her financially, they might pretend she was dead, but her father said more with his eyes than with his mouth.

What he said was, that she was strong enough to get out of the shadow of her name. She should go and find her own place in the world. Even though she might struggle at times, even though she might be alone half the time, they all had faith she would become someone by her own accord. As for loosing, her father never liked Min Yoongi to begin with. Loosing him, shouldn't be something she should feel sorry about.

Thank God she was smart enough to clear her accounts before they would froze them. With her all the cash she had and the tickets to a paid holiday in Hawaii, she had everything she needed. She will find a job and take care of herself, by herself.

"I can't let this happen." Yoongi stated. He turned his attention to Mr. Waters. "You owe me a bride, or I will pull out of the merger. You go it?" His words were filled with unvoiced threats. It was more than just pulling out of the merger, he meant the destruction of the Waters family.

Mr. Waters cleared his throat and signaled his other daughter to move forward and take Melanie's place. "Will this do?" He asked in a flat tone. He hated the groom. In a short amount of time he destroyed his family.

"It's good for now." Yoongi turned his attention to the priest. "Carry on priest." He demanded.

The now bride smiled in content that she finally had what her sister loved. The priest had to blink several times to understand what was actually going on, but complied to what was requested of him nonetheless.

Melanie was taken at the airport by her long time best friend, Kim Taehyung. "Are you sure you are okay?" He asked for the hundredth time since she stepped in his car.

"I'm fine Tae. Don't worry about me." She replied back. She wasn't fine, of course. Who would be fine in her conditions? The man she gave her heart to, ripped it open and left her bleed on the floor.

"Your father shouldn't have said those words. It wasn't your fault that Yoongi is an ass."

"It's fine Tae. I can take care of myself." She took out her bag from his car, ready to go through the airport.

"If you need something, anything, just call. Me and my brother would always help you."

Melanie wrapped his arms around him, giving him one of her mother bear hugs. "I know Tae. It's something I have to do for myself."

"Okay." He took a step back and looked at her. "Call me from time to time. Let me know how you are."

"I will." She gently smiled at him. "Tell Jin that I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye."

"I think my brother will have a hissy fit as soon as he hears this. You know how he can be."

She smiled at his attempt to joke. "I'm off now to a new start." She took a deep breath, and with a last glance towards her best friend, she walked in the airport loosing herself between the sea of people roaming around.

She made her way into the plane, leaving behind everything she knew. It was true that she was sheltered a lot growing up, but her parents made sure they could give her the right lessons in order to succeed in life. Her morals were strong, her passions were burning inside her trying to get out. She didn't have a plan of what she could do in life, she only had hobbies like drawing, or writing, but she was a fast learner. From a young age, she watched her father doing business, she knew stuff. Plus, she had a brief internship at their company.

Melanie looked through the window. The plane was setting off and her old life stayed behind. She had to admit that the prospect of being alone in life, was making her want to turn back to Yoongi. Yet, that was not an option. She couldn't be tied to a man who didn't match her loyalty and love.

A tear escaped her eyes as she thought about her parents. Not only Yoongi will make their life more difficult than it should have been, but they also lost a daughter, and she lost everything.
