Jimin was a nervous wrack as he arrived at the airport together with Ivy. He was three hours early and filled with three cups of coffee in the spam of two hours.
"Calm down honey. Everyone will come and you'll get to talk things out. What the worst that could happen?" Ivy tried to cheer him up. She hated seeing him so all over the place. Even now, he was pacing back and forth in front of the plane.
"What if they won't come? What if Yoongi doesn't come? I would be pointless." Jimin lowered his head, disappointment written all over his face. "I failed."
Ivy rolled her eyes and wrapped his arms around his waist. "Baby, you're the best. You did not fail, alright?" She said looking him in the eyes. "It's a baby shower for Jin, and all of them will come. Even Min Yoongi." She reassured him. "Now please, could you like, I don't know, smile for me?" She grinned when he smiled.
He hugged her back and snuggled his face in the crook of her neck, inhaling her perfume. Somehow it calmed him down. He felt like he wasn't alone. "Thank you baby."
"Now, let's get to our seats, maybe snuggle a bit before it becomes crowded." Ivy winked.
Jimin burst out laughing and scooped her in his arms. "I'll marry you one day."
Ivy laughed and playfully hit him on his arm. "Where's the ring my man?"
Both knew her response was nothing serious, but his statement was very much true. He will marry her one day. Ever since they started being together, he realized that they had more things in common than they thought they have. She was a challenge, a book he wanted to get lost in. She made him feel like he could do anything he put his mind to.
Next to walk inside the plane were Hoseok, Jungkook and Taehyung. "Could you like not?" Hoseok laughed as the couple were rearranging their clothes. Ivy's face was red up to the tip of her ears.
"Maybe if you'd have a girlfriend, you wouldn't complain that much all the time." Jimin replied jokingly.
Taehyung rolled his eyes and took his seat, while Jungkook sat next to him. "Ready for the drama?"
Taehyung raised his eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
"Yoongi and his wife are gonna fly with us." Jungkook announced.
"Shit." Taehyung took out his phone and sent a quick text to Melanie. He had to warn her about her sister being in the same confined space as them.
"Why are so nervous?" Jungkook asked. "Is this about Melanie and Victoria?"
"So you know?" Taehyung shook his head and put his phone back on his pocket.
"Hard not to when this was the topic of conversation for about two weeks now."
"Melanie is gonna be upset." Taehyung frowned as he thought about it.
"Ummhhm..." Jungkook poked the inside of his cheek with his tongue. He wanted to say a lot more about what he thought to be the reason behind Taehyung's nervousness, ultimately he decided to stay out of it.
Next to arrive were Namjoon and Melanie, together with Jin and his girlfriend. Namjoon and Melanie sat together, while the other couple were sitting on the next row.
Melanie was chewing her nails. She was highly nervous about meeting her sister. It was hardly the time to make a scene. "I'll go talk to Tae for a minute."
"Okay." Namjoon smiled and kissed her lips.
Taehyung saw Melanie approach and he got out to meet with her. "Are you okay?"
"I don't know Tae." She replied tired. "I don't feel like I can face her after everything had happened. Not to mention Yoongi will be here too. What am I gonna do?"
Taehyung hugged and patted her back. "Everything will be okay. Take a deep breath, and when they come, try to think they don't exist."
"Easier said than done." Melanie sighed. "Thanks for listening."
"Anytime. Just don't pay attention to them. Talk to Namjoon. I'm sure he'd appreciate giving him all your attention when Yoongi is here."
"You're absolutely right. I was so busy thinking about me, that I didn't even considered his feelings." She kissed his cheek and went back to her seat next to Namjoon.
"Yeah." Taehyung looked after her with longing eyes. He shook his head before someone would see the look on his face.
The problem was, someone did saw him, but chose to stay silent until a better chance to talk would come up. Jin was sure something was going on there. His brother was clearly in pain. He had to wait until they were alone to talk about it. Jin knew Taehyung better than Taehyung knew himself.
When the Min couple entered the plane, the atmosphere chilled. Namjoon was throwing daggers at Yoongi, Melanie gritted her teeth.
"Now that we're all here, let's keep this trip pleasant, alright?" Jin spoke first. His tone of voice left no room for arguing. He sensed the hostility was growing around him, a cold shiver ran through his spine as he looked at the Min couple. Last thing he wanted was a full blown out argument in front of his pregnant girlfriend.
Yoongi rolled his eyes and sat in the last two available seats. Thankfully those seats were in the back of the plane. Victoria asked the steward for a glass of whiskey before she sat down next to her husband, ignoring the death glares her sister sent her way.
"This is gonna be fun." Victoria mumbled under her breath as she took a sip of the strong liquor.
"Your fault. If you weren't the one to agree to this charade, we would have been home." Yoongi replied in a cold tone, his eyes glued to his phone.
"Maybe if you wouldn't be a stuck up asshole, the trip would be more enjoyable."
"How is this supposed to be enjoyable?" Yoongi gritted his teeth. "May I remind you, you stole your sister's husband?"
"May I remind you, you had no fucking intention going forward with the wedding?" Victoria smirked. "Don't throw the blame around Min. It makes you look weak."
