"You look beautiful." Victoria stepped inside the bride's room, looking lovely in her her black pencil dress, showing proudly her baby bump.
"Thank you." Melanie beamed as she turned her attention back to her mirror reflection.
A few years ago, three to be more precise, she couldn't have pictured her life taking such a turn. Ultimately, she was happy it did. The first time she was dressed as a bride, her heart was filled with sorrow and pain. Her then fiancé cheated on her with her own sister and that broke her heart. She was the runaway bride, who left her man at the altar, running to find a better future, to find the happiness she deserved. She didn't plan on falling in love with Namjoon, but she did. He made his way inside her heart, tearing down the walls she carefully build. Thanks to Namjoon, she managed to amend the ties that were severely cut by secrets, plots and heartbreaks.
He showed her what real love felt. How it felt to be cherished in every moment. Her heart swelled just by thinking how happy he made her. Melanie knew, there was no better man for her.
Victoria took a few steps closer to the bride, and handed her a velvety red box. "This is for you."
"What is it?"
"Open it." With trembling hands, Melanie opened the box and gasped.
She gently touched the necklace as she was afraid it would break under her thumb. It was a gold heart pendant necklace, and it belonged to their grandmother.
"She gave me this before she died." Victoria took the jewelry from the box and with swift soft moves, she placed it on her sister's neck. "She would have loved for you to wear it."
Melanie's eyes teared up and hugged her sweet sister. "Thank you so much. I will give it back after the wedding."
Victoria patted her shoulders and released her. "Keep it. It belongs to you. She only gave it to me because she pitied me."
"It's not true." Melanie wiped her tears careful not to ruin her makeup. "Vi, you are loved. I swear." She placed her hand on the baby bump. "You being here with me, caring my niece, not only shows how much we overcame, but also that you are loved."
"God." Victoria wiped her tears too. Even if things were done in a weird way, she was finally happy. "You annoyed the shit out of me, but you're right. Being here together after everything that happened, it does show that love and communication can go a long way."
"I'm just happy that everything fell into place."
It wasn't easy, two years ago during Jin's baby shower party all secrets came out. Relationships had been amended, friendships rekindled, and love had grown. Yoongi and Victoria became a real couple, Jimin had build his dream ballroom and hotel, Jin had his first child, and as for her and Namjoon, life couldn't have been happier. With the help of Jimin and the rest of the gang, Namjoon proposed to her on the beach where he saved her life.
Namjoon was waiting impatiently at the altar for his bride. The anxiety was making him sweat and his heart was beating fast in his chest.
His best man Jimin, patted his back and smiled. "Chill man. You're acting like she's gonna run or something."
A chuckle escaped his lips at the thought, though his comment didn't help his beating heart, it did amused him a bit. Soon the music started playing, a sign that the bride will walk through the doors. The moment he saw her, Namjoon was speechless.
