Melanie had a feeling that Jimin's invitation was just an attempt to come at her. She wondered why he didn't like her. It wasn't like she ever did something to him. However, based on their interaction so far, she guessed that it had to do with Yoongi. Again, that man was ruining her life. Not only he broke her heart by cheating on her, but also he weaseled his way in whatever future she had with Namjoon.

The guilt riled up in her throat. All she wanted was to pack her things and run away. Looking at Namjoon, how he casually talked to his friends while holding her hand, his face was serene, smiling, showing off the dimples she oh so adored. Yet, she felt so out of place. Guilty for what she had done.

In a way, it felt like she cheated on Yoongi. She felt dirty. Tainted. She didn't regret what she did with Namjoon. Making love with him was similar to floating on a cloud. Namjoon touched her body and soul in ways she didn't know it was possible. Melanie had to admit, she might just fall in love with him.

Panic rose in her throat, making it hard to breathe. Her palms were sweaty and her vision was blurry. The noises of forks mixed with laughter and background music, were distorted to her ears. The voices seemed distant. Surely you cannot fall in love that easily, right? She asked herself while she was trying to regain her composure.

"I have a plan." Jungkook was the first one to stop the friendly banter between Hoseok and Jimin.

The guys looked at him in bewilderment. "What is it?" Jimin asked, lowering his fork.

"Melanie here, can go back and spy on Yoongi and tell us what he's planning." Jungkook explained. "It's easier for her to gain access to him since she's his ex and all."

Namjoon squeezed her hand lightly. "What do you say sweetheart?" He asked in a sweet voice.

Melanie raised her eyebrow. "I'm sorry what?"

"I think it's time for you to prove that your not working with Yoongi." Jimin replied.

For a few moments she was too stunned to say anything. She was used taking commands from Yoongi, but that submissive part of her was going to vanish soon. A glint of fire played in her eyes and she smirked. Taehyung leaned back on his seat with an amused look on his face. She was about to start off and he could barely contain his laughter. That was his best friend, long before she had ever met Yoongi. The part of her that he tried hard to bury deep.

She leaned on the table looking straight at Jimin. "In what parallel universe do you think I'm that stupid to crawl back to the person I left at the altar? Are you really that dumb?" Melanie asked dryly.

"You want to be a part of us, you have to work for it." Jimin snapped back.

Melanie pushed her seat back and got up to her feet. "First of all, when did I even ask to be a part of this group? News flash hun, I really couldn't care less. Secondly, are you by any chance gone mental? You surely can't be that delusional if you think I'll go back to him. Thirdly..." She turned her attention to Namjoon. "Just because we have slept together, doesn't mean that you own me." With that she turned around, leaving everyone speechless, except Taehyung which burst out laughing.

"What's so funny?" Jimin asked through gritted teeth.

"Consider yourself lucky that's all she said." Taehyung winked. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have a best friend to comfort."

"I'm going after her." Namjoon too, rose to his feet.

Taehyung shook his head, still amused by the entire situation. Surely they didn't believe she would just roll over and play fetch. "I'm sorry to burst your dominant ball, but this is a best friend type of scenario."

"Are you two like in a relationship or something?" Hoseok couldn't do anything but ask.

"What? Ewww, no. We're just really good friends. Not everyone ends up in a sexual relationship." Taehyung answered back.

"Still, I need to go and talk to her." Namjoon clarified.

Taehyung smirked. "You like her huh?" Namjoon shrugged. "Your funeral I guess. Trust me when I say it, you don't want to talk to her in this moment. "

"Is she that scary? " Jungkook asked.

"Dude, she's furious. When was the last time you dealt with an angry woman?" Taehyung looked at his brother's friends.

Jin who was silent all this time, finally spoke. "Namjoon sit down. Tae, go after her."

Taehyung nodded with his head and went after her. He knew his brother's friends were weird, not even he expected they would come up with such a weird thing. Hopefully she wasn't too berserk and maybe he could reason with her. She had been through a lot, courtesy to the one and only Min Yoongi. Taehyung really wanted to teach him a thing or two about respecting a woman.

"Now that the kids are out of the way, we can actually talk about what is going on." Jin spoke in a casual tone.

"She's not a kid." Jimin muttered.

"Jimin I swear to God I'm throwing my water at your head." Jin showed him his water bottle and Jimin chuckled. Jin continued and told them what happened when he went to see Yoongi, he even told them about his wife.

"Now that's a lot of crazy." Hoseok mumbled dryly.

"I'm not so sure." Namjoon was rubbing his chin. "She may not love him, clearly she is devoted to him on some level."

"That's the impression I have too." At first Jin didn't know what to think of her, now that someone else had said it, he actually believed it too.

"If Melanie won't do it, how are we going to find out why is he doing this?" Jimin asked. He couldn't think about a reasonable thing that could have happened that made Yoongi hate them.

"You can't seriously thought she'd accept. I also told you to leave her alone. I'm not putting her through unnecessary pain." Jin threaten.

"Are you ready to vouch for her?" Jimin asked raising his eyebrow.

"I don't know why you are being so paranoid, but yes, I vouch for her. Now, let's see how we can deal with this without involving innocents." Jin voiced.

"We can force a meeting with all of us. It unlikely he is able to hide it from us." Hoseok was looking at his friends. "He'll come if I tell him to."

"He won't." Jin sighed. "He's changed and I don't know why. He's pushing himself out."

"How about we throw a party? We invite some people and twist his hand a bit." Jimin was thinking hard about this matter. He didn't want to give up on his friendship with Yoongi.

"Not everything can be solved with a party." Namjoon shook his head.

Jimin smirked. "I beg to differ. You found Melanie at one of them. How hard could it be?"

"If it's just a party, he's not going to come. What if we make it more interesting? Like a business gathering of some sorts." Jungkook scratched the back of his head. "We can call all our investors and some shareholders. He might take it as an opportunity to mingle and grown his business."

"That could work. Let's do it." Jin hummed in agreement. "Now, let's have some fun." He wiggled his eyebrows in amusement. "Let's go for a late swim." The guys all agreed. "I'll text Tae. He won't want to miss that." Namjoon's head snapped in Jin's direction and Jin winked.
