Jungkook was torn apart between his best friends. He had no idea what to do to make amends, or to make them sit together and talk it out. So he decided to start with Yoongi. He knew that Yoongi would never push him away. At least he hoped so.
"What?" Yoongi barked as he answered his phone.
"Really Yoongs?" Jungkook asked with a smile.
"Who this? I don't have time for games." Yoongi replied in an all business like voice.
"It's Jungkook. How are you? We haven't talked in so long. Are you doing alright?"
Yoongi laughed bitterly. "Look who decided to finally check if I was dead or not."
"Please don't be like this." Jungkook pleaded.
"Don't be like what?" Yoongi raised his eyebrow.
"Why are you doing this Yoongs? What did I do to you for you to treat me like a rat?" Jungkook couldn't help but feel hurt by his words.
"It's Yoongi. Not Yooongs, not Yoongles, just plain old Yoongi." He mocked.
"Brother..."
"Do not brother me. Go back to your wonderful friends and leave me the hell alone." Yoongi yelled through gritted teeth. "Go back to Namjoon and Jimin."
"Yoongi, can you please tell me what I did wrong?"
"You sided with them. You chose them." Yoongi explained.
Jungkook could feel how exhausted his friend was even through the phone. "I work with Namjoon. I have to literally be there. At least, did you get my wedding present?"
He was upset he couldn't attend to Yoongi's wedding, but he did sent a present. He was gone from the country to sort out a deal, and no matter how hard he tried to get back in time, he couldn't. He didn't want Yoongi to think he abandoned him completely, but it was a weird situation. He just didn't know why, or how.
Yoongi sighed. "Yes. I got it. Thank you for remembering my existence."
"Can you please tell me what happened?" Jungkook begged. "I need my friend back. If you want I can even bow to your feet."
"It's okay Kook. I'm..." He swallowed hard and closed his eyes. He missed his friends so much, ultimately, he couldn't forgive them. Not for what they did to him. "I can't talk right now. Gotta go."
Jungkook stared at his phone. Yoongi was in pain, he could feel it. He wished he could do something for him. For them.
Yoongi threw his phone on the floor and sat on the couch. He leaned his head on his hands, tears running down his cheeks. Why was it so hard to stay away from them? Why couldn't they let him be? Why do they keep on coming back after all the harm they did to him?
Victoria saw the sadness, the pain and the distress in Yoongi. She could deal with a mean, arrogant Yoongi, she couldn't deal seeing him in pain. That made her angry. She wanted to reach out and strangle the life of the person who hurt her husband.
She didn't say anything as she sat next to him. She wrapped her arm around him. He turned around and leaned on her shoulder.
"Why are you like this?" He asked in a low voice. He wasn't used to her showing these type of emotions. Maybe she was a lot like him. A chameleon, hiding her true self.
She shrugged but continued to hold him. "I may be a bitch half the time, but I'd rather see you angry than hurt."
Yoongi laughed and straightened his back. "I told you not to fall in love with me."
"Who the fuck said anything about love?" She raised her eyebrow. "Dude, I love you as much as you love me. Which is nothing. Zilch."
"I highly doubt that." He mumbled.
"What now?"
"Nothing. I'll go back to work." He tried to walk in his home office, but Victoria pushed him in his room. "What the fuck...?"
"No work. Go take a bath and sleep. It's late anyway." With that she walked into her own room.
Once she was alone, her hand clutched on her chest. She slid to the floor, tears sprinkling her eyes. "Damn you Min Yoongi. I can never see you in pain."
Jungkook went to the pool bar. He asked Hoseok to meet him there.
"You don't look good." Hoseok said as he pushed a glass of whiskey into his hand.
"I talked to Yoongi. He's sad." Jungkook frowned as he took a sip of the strong liquor.
Hoseok sighed. "He's a hard man."
"You should call him. Something must have happened with him. I don't know what and it's driving me crazy."
Hoseok patted his shoulder. "It's gonna be fine. I'll fly back home tomorrow and I'll talk to him in person."
"Good. I have a feeling you're the only one who can reach him."
Hoseok laughed. "He did have a soft spot for me."
"Everyone has a soft spot for you." Jungkook smiled back.
"Now on a lighter note, what do think of those two cuties over there?" Hoseok pointed with his head at a table where two ladies were talking.
Jungkook licked his lips. "Foursome?" He raised his eyebrow.
"You up for it?" Hoseok winked.
"If they are up for it too, sure." Jungkook winked back.
