After everyone was settled down and took a few hours of rest, Jin made sure they will all meet and eat dinner together. It would also provide an opportunity for his friends to actually get to know his girlfriend better, even though some of them already knew her as they would visit him at his office. Of course that Yoongi was the hardest one to convince to come, and after almost half an hour of begging, Jin dropped the subject. Yoongi was not going to be present for their dinner and neither was Victoria.
Of course he was sad that his once upon best friend didn't even want to acknowledge the mother of his baby. To say Jin was disappointed, was an understatement. He was starting to get bored of Yoongi's all brooding mood and just move on. If he was to be honest, Jin didn't see the point of trying to get him back. It was useless anyway. Yoongi cared little to none about them.
Yeah, that was the problem. Jin couldn't bring someone in his life that obviously didn't want to be there. He wondered what the hell Victoria did to bring Yoongi with them? Was she the answer to the whole ordeal that was happening between them?
Melanie was feeling better after a few hours of rest in Namjoon's arms. He had became her source of happiness and comfort. She believed she could do anything as long as she had him in her life.
Nari was wonderful, Melanie really liked her and she was a great deal of help teaching her, training her to be a good assistant to Jin. Nari would often joke that it was a good thing Melanie was dating Namjoon, so she didn't have to worry that her man would cheat on her, though everyone clearly saw how smitten Jin was with his girlfriend.
The dinner atmosphere was amazing. Everyone chatted, laughed and ate. Melanie felt like she was a part of something, a brotherhood of some sorts. Even Jimin warmed up to her. She wondered why Yoongi and Victoria didn't came. She heard Jin announce that Yoongi was adamant in not attending.
Melanie raised her head and looked around, hoping that she would see them, see her sister. It broke her heart knowing that she was so close and not be able to talk to her about what was going on. Why she chose to push away her own family for someone like Yoongi. The whole trip there, Melanie sensed that those two weren't even that close. Was there a love relationship between them, or it was just a marriage of convenience?
With the corner of her eyes, she saw Victoria slowly walk to the beach alone. Where was Yoongi, she asked herself. Surely if he would love his wife, he wouldn't let her walk alone so late at night.
"Is everything ok?" Namjoon asked holding her hand.
Melanie shook her head. "Yeah. I saw Victoria, she was walking down the beach. Should I talk to her?"
Namjoon rubbed the back of his neck. "I think now it's as good as any other moment, I presume. Do you want to talk to her?"
That was one of the multitude of reasons why she loved Namjoon. He always made sure she knew it was her choice. That everything she did, was because she wanted, not because he wanted it.
"I think I should talk to her. It would be easier to understand her since she is alone." She raised to her feet. "Excuse me for a few moments." She said to the people around her.
She didn't want to be rude and just walk away without a reason. Not now when they actually liked her. In a way, she felt like she proved them that she wasn't there to hurt Namjoon, or any of them for that matter.
She slowly walked towards the beach, where she saw Victoria going. She didn't expect to see her sister sitting alone on the sand, hugging her knees and watching the waves hit the shore every each second.
Melanie felt a pang of guilt in her heart seeing her sister so desolated and alone. She pondered whether to stand by her side, or walk away. She felt like she would intrude in her sister's life if she'd go to her. She didn't have a time to make a decisions, as Victoria rose to her feet and turned around.
