Melanie was shocked by the date Namjoon prepared.
The yacht he rented was impressive. Her eyes almost bulged at the size of what she called a water missile. It was big, luxurious, and pretty much very expensive. It wasn't necessary a bad thing that be brought her there, she just would have wanted a different type of a date. Something more romantic and realistic. Though she appreciated his efforts of making it a memorable date, she couldn't stop herself from comparing Namjoon with Yoongi. Yoongi wasn't a romantic guy the most he had done in their relationship was surprising her with a candle lit dinner. Namjoon sensed her hesitation, so he hugged her from behind, leaning his head on her shoulder.
Namjoon never did things half way. He made every second special. Every second where her body, mind and heart would be seduced. He would make her feel like the most important person on the face of the earth. The way he would touch her, kiss her, held her hand, made her mind filled only with him. Now seeing the luxurious yacht she was on, she once again thought how important he had become to her. He thought about everything. Food, fruits, a couple of types of wine and champagne.
"This is beautiful. Thank you." She turned around and cupped his face, placing a gentle kiss on the tip of his nose.
He hugged her tighter and kissed her neck. "I was serious when I said we are not a mistake." Melanie couldn't find any trace of lie in his words, or any stiffness in her body. He was so honest and open about what he was feeling, that both terrified and excited her.
"We'll talk later about this." She beamed in his arms. She couldn't brake the moment and tell him that she will be leaving soon. She was afraid he would try to close her off to the world. To shut down her only chance of living a somewhat normal life.
"Let's change. We'll take a swim as soon as we get a bit further away from the shore."
"Who's gonna drive?" Melanie suddenly asked. She knew how dangerous boats can be if they weren't driven by someone who had experience.
"Don't worry about it. I have a professional." He winked at her.
"Good. I'm too young to die." She said with a straight face.
Namjoon burst out laughing. "God you're funny."
She stuck out her tongue and crossed her hands on her chest. "Mood."
"How did you and Tae became friends?" His curiosity had taken over him. He couldn't live with himself if he didn't ask. He didn't find it strange that they were friends, but he was indeed a little bothered by how close they were.
Melanie threw her head back in a fit of laughter. "Well, it's not a sweet story."
"Huh?" He raised his eyebrow.
"At first we were enemies. For the life of us, we couldn't be under the same roof without arguing."
"So what changed?" He shook his head, he couldn't understand.
"He started to date my roommate. When I realized she was cheating on him, we started talking more. When he found out, my roommate moved out, and he moved in. We are basically inseparable. Except when I dated Yoongi. He was against our friendship."
"I can understand that at some extent. It's not pleasant thinking that your girl is spending time with another man."
Melanie furrowed her eyebrows. "Are you one of them? Because let me tell you something." She pointed her finger at his chest. "I'm not gonna lose my friendship with him, just because you don't approve, not that there's something to be approved of."
