Namjoon left his office in a daze. He had just secured a deal he was after for quite some time. He didn't expect it to come to him in the form of a present. The girl he helped a long time ago, managed to give him something in return for the kindness he had showed her, when she needed him the most.

Namjoon didn't consider what he did to be a big deal, anyone would have done it, it just happened that he was the closest. She didn't need to repay him back, but the girl hadn't forgotten about him.

He even remembered the girl's words next day after the ordeal. "One day I'll pay you back. I promise." She had said with teary grateful eyes.

He forgot all about it. Her words, or the fact that it seemed he was someone's hero once. Namjoon wanted to send her a thank you note, or a present, but the girl was nowhere to be found. Maybe Jimin would be able to track her down, after all, he was there too. Jimin was part of the so called rescue team. Jimin was actually the one who asked Namjoon for help. Together, they took care of the girl. He made a mental note to call Jimin about this matter.

His first stop on his way home was at a small flower shop. Since Melanie moved in with him, he made sure that he had some flowers to giver her every time he would get home. Namjoon wanted her to feel loved and appreciated. He loved doing small things for the person he was with. Some flowers, candles, a prepared meal for when she'd come home late from work, too tired to stand. He didn't saw that as a man's weakness, he saw it as an opportunity to show his appreciations.

Namjoon had all the means and opportunity to buy her lots of expensive items, but she wasn't the type to appreciate them. She wasn't one that wanted to waste money on frivolous unnecessary things, and he loved her more for that. So he resorted in showing his love through small things, and those things didn't pass unnoticed.

Melanie was still reluctant to move in his bedroom, nonetheless, she had put in efforts to get to know him. Spend time together, get comfortable to one another. Coming home from a hard day of work, being greeted by the person who became the center of his world in a such a short time, it was everything for him. He felt like he had a reason to come back home.

The smell of cooked food hit him instantly once he stepped inside his home. A smile spread across his features as he saw her in the kitchen, arranging their plates.

He sneakily entered the room, hugged her from the back with one hand and snuggled his head in the crook of her neck, inhaling her sweet scent. Her perfume was driving him insane. Namjoon couldn't even count how many nights he had spent thinking about having her in his arms again, snuggling together as they drifted to sleep.

"Welcome home baby." She said in a chipper voice as she turned around and kissed his cheek.

"Hello love." He beamed while giving her the flowers. His heart was full of love ever since she came in his life.

Melanie's cheeks reddened. "Thank you. You're so sweet." She took a few steps, walking away from his embrace and placed the flowers in a vase. A couple of white and red roses. They looked beautiful.

"And you're cute." He gently pinched the tip of her nose, making her laugh at the gesture.

Melanie was thankful. He had never failed to show her how much she means to him. That was something that Yoongi never did. Even though she didn't want to compare the two, she couldn't stop doing it. Her relationship with Yoongi was the only one she knew. Still, she knew it wasn't fair for Namjoon. At least now she had a better grasp on her own feelings.

"Go wash up and let's eat. Dinner is ready."

Namjoon kissed her cheek and did as he was told. Melanie arranged the table and sat down, waiting for him. Her mind was racing. She had no idea how to tell him that she loved him. That she fell in love with him. Yoongi was the one to tell her first, she just accepted it and moved on. It was weird how the love she had for Yoongi, was so different from the love she had for Namjoon.
