We were separated by the loud ringing of my phone. Alam ko na akin 'yon dahil alam ko ang ringtone.

Demetrio groaned and bit my lower lip lightly.

"Answer the call," he said and gave me my phone. Ni hindi ko alam paano niya nakuha ang phone sa bag ko ng gano'n kabilis. "Dito ka lang muna. Kukunin ko lang ang type B na t-shirt ko," anito at tumakbo palayo sa akin.

I was going to protest pero sobrang layo na niya. My gaze retracted away from him when the sound of my phone kept going. It was an incoming call from Ely. Agad ko iyon sinagot habang tinitingnan ang layo ng tinakbo ni Demetrio.

"Hey, E!" I exclaimed.

Ngayon ko lang din napansin na kapos ako sa hininga kaya malalim na hininga ang ginagawa ko. Trying to balance it out.

"Hello, sweet E. Where are you? Nandito ako sa exit ng Sports Complex, I'll be giving the foods Tobias asked me to buy. Gusto kitang makita. I want you to meet Nadia Maria," he said, making my forehead knotted.

"You already have a girlfriend?!" I possessively stated.

Ely chuckled on the other line. "No, no, of course. She's just my friend. I still don't have a girlfriend," anito.

Ely is one of the honest person I've met. He's always saying the truth. At kapag siya ang hindi naniniwala sa sinabi ng isang tao, he will keep on asking questions until he's already satisfied.

I was still skeptical about what he had said. Ayaw ko siyang magka girlfriend. Kahit na ipakilala niya pa iyon sa akin beforehand, I won't accept the girl.

"So... are you going to meet her? It's okay if you won't. Alam kong pagod ka ngayon dahil kakatapos lang ng laro ninyo. Oh, by the way, congratulations, sweet E! Tobias mentioned it mo earlier."

I smiled. "You're welcome, E!" Maligalig ang boses na ani ko. I was so proud of myself whenever someone is congratulating me. Ang laki na na achievement para sa akin. "But I can't meet you at the exit gate." Biglang nawalan ng gana ang boses ko. May halo rin ng pagkapagod para hindi agad ako paghinalaan ni Ely. "I'm tired, E. I want to go but... I really can't." I sighed.

"It's okay, sweet E. You need to rest now. 'Di bale, I'll go to your house later and check on you, 'kay? I'll ask the others if they want to watch movies in your house."

"Of course, E! That's a good idea. See you later! I love you!"

"I love you too, sweet E! Bye!"

And I'm the one who ended the call. I sighed, putting my hands down and on my side. Nang tingnan ko ulit ang dinaanan kanina ni Demetrio ay nakita ko ulit ito at pabalik na sa puwesto ko. I smiled unconsciously.

I waited for him to go near me. Hindi na ako gumalaw sa puwesto.

"Here," he said when he's in front of me. Inayos niya rin ang type B shirt nila na kulay itim.

He turned his shirt to it's front part. Binuka ang ilalim at inuma na isusuot sa ulo ko. I dropped my head para hindi na hassle sa kanya.

"Insert your right hand to the right sleeve, then your left hand to the left sleeve." He instructed even more.

I laughed boisterously because of his silly instructions. Ano ako bata?

"Bakit ka tumatawa? May mali ka pang nagawa sa akin," paalala nito.

"I am not a baby, Demi. I don't need instructions. I know where to insert my arms. I know which sleeve needs to be inserted," sambit ko.

Nagtaas ng isang kilay si Demetrio at humawak sa baywang nito. Tama ang distansya na nakapagitan sa aming dalawa kaya nakikita ko talaga ang ayos niya.
