previously for those who forgot:

The building looked abandoned from the outside, but the inside was almost futuristic. It reminded me of a space shuttle, with all the metals and technology that I didn't quite understand. The walls were covered with transparent piping, filled with radiant liquids. "There are so many cameras" I mumbled, "they totally know we're here." We heard footsteps echoing from the hall on our right, and Mark took a peak. "What the..." I tilted my head. "What is it?" I then heard a familiar laugh. "Hello, earthlings." I almost choked when I saw Jordan in his Alius suit. There was a crazy, purple glow in his normally dark eyes. "I'm Janus."

Jordan woke up with a terrible headache. Why was he on the floor? And then he remembered. The aliens, they knocked him out. He recognized one of them, he was part of the security at Fuji. He started to sweat, he was actually kidnapped.

The boy tried to remember all the books he had read about abduction. It wasn't really helpful, he only thought about the torture and killing that often followed. Listening to his heartbeat would calm him down, he remembered. Rhona made him do it when he was stressed. But then his mind drifted to her, would she be alright? He bit his tongue to distract himself from his thoughts.

Focus.

There were probably cameras all over the place. Alius loved to keep control.

Jordan heard voices and a door opening, so he decided to keep his eyes closed a little longer. His heart pounded, and he only had one thought. This is it, I'm going to be murdered.

"I don't know Gazel, isn't this a little much? Look at the thing," someone said. Claude, Jordan realized sadly.

"Shut up Torch. We already have two traitors, I don't want another one." Two? Maybe it was one of his friends, Jordan thought hopefully. "If only there were two." They shut up after that, probably glaring at each other. At least, that was what they did when they were little. Jordan's heart ached. There was no time to weep about the past though, he was going to 'wake up'.

He sat up and opened his eyes. The bright lights were overwhelming, his eyes burned. He almost wanted to laugh when he saw that he was behind literal bars. He stood up and stared right into Gazel's ice-cold eyes. Jordan wasn't really sure how he felt, he wasn't that afraid anymore. He had barely seen Bryce after they had left the orphanage. He hadn't changed at all.

"Hello," Jordan said dryly. What else could he say? The alien raised an eyebrow. "Janus, you're awake. Great." Claude joined. "Morning Janus, there's something on your jaw," the red-haired said with a grin. He touched his jaw and flinched. It stung terribly, that had to be a huge bruise.

"How fantastic," he sighed to himself. "You are awfully confident," Gazel said, "Not sure if that's the right attitude for someone in a situation like this." And there was that fear again, the realization that he might never leave this place. He tried to get away from the bars as casually as possible. "And what situation would that be?" Torch opened his mouth, but before he could speak he got punched by Gazel.

"You are such an idiot," Gazel sighed. And when Torch started an argument, he dragged the hot-headed alien away. But that wasn't before he saw Bryce fill in a code on the little screen next to the door, he just missed one number.  1-0-2-9-  -8

The second the doors closed, a wave of grief overwhelmed Jordan. They were so similar to the friends he knew, just like Bryce and Claude used to be. Except they weren't Bryce and Claude. No, they were Torch and Gazel, two evil, rivaling aliens.

Jordan ignored his sentimental feelings as much as possible and observed the cell. It was in a room full of computer screens, weird buttons, and other technical stuff. Just like the buildings he knew as his alien home. Nobody ever wanted to tell him what they were, they just told him that he should play football instead of asking stupid questions.
