Sooo a short one. It's a bit humorless and the ending isn't an ending. Not really happy with it :s. But have fun xD

After an hour we stopped by a park for lunch. 'Okay, let's train!' Mark was about to run away when Celia grabbed him by the collar. 'We are going to eat.' He sighed. 'All right then.' I noticed that Janus was twisting his hair around his finger while staring absently to the ground. That's why I decided to ask what was going on. 'Hey, are you alright?' He gave me a weak smile. 'Yes of course, but I have something important to say to everyone,' he mumbled. Important? 'Okay then, can't wait to hear it.'

'Ehm,' Janus said and everyone around the picnic table became silent. 'There is something I have to tell you. Well there are several things but I'll just start with the important one.' He started to play with his hair. 'Just say it Janus, you don't have to be nervous!' Mark encouraged.

'I'm human.' I spat out my drink, and Mark his jaw dropped. 'What are you saying? Human? B-but how?' Nathan asked shocked. 'Well my parents were humans, so am I obviously. Though I don't know if the others are human as well. After all, I am an orphan.' The boy stared numb in the distance. My mind was racing, repeating the same words over and over. Human, my parents were, orphan. He probably got adopted by the aliens, made him feel like he had a home after his parents died. Then they turned him into one of them.

'When did they die?' I got no reaction. 'Janus?' He closed his eyes and fell on the ground. His muscles tightened and weird noises escaped his mouth. Oh no, not again. I kneeled in front of him. 'Hey, I know it's difficult but try to stop your thoughts. Turn your mind into a blank page.' He gasped. 'C-can't. Voices in my head. Can't stop.' I knew how he felt, I knew it way too well, but got a bit frustrated. 'For godssake.' I tried to find the right words. 'Well, I know what it's like, the scary thoughts are surrounding you and you don't know what to do with them, I know exactly how you feel.' I tried to make him sit. My dark memories were clearer then ever, but I had overcome my fears. They didn't affect me anymore. 'Think of something happy, a situation that made you feel joyful.' He tried to steady his breath, that didn't really work out. Then a sweet little smile was formed on his lips. 'Supermarket,' he mumbled, and then became calm, his eyes were closed. 'He's unconscious,' Eric pointed out, 'Shouldn't we get an ambulance?' I observed the green haired boy, his head was resting on my shoulder and his breath was steady again. 'Not unconscious but asleep. And sometimes in these situations it is the best thing that can happen.' I tried to lay him down. 'How can that be a good thing?' Kevin asked. 'Because his thoughts are gone and when he wakes up, the bright ones will appear.' I wiped a string of hair from his sweaty face. 'Let's get Janus inside.'

I clicked with my pen, I was incredibly disappointed in myself. I still hadn't figured out why he had these attacks, though I had some ideas. The facts were connecting in my head and the picture became clearer. Of course, I knew exactly what happened!

'I know it,' I announced. 'I totally get it now!' The boys stared questioning to me, waiting for an explanation. 'They trained him to become an Alius member, they created the Janus as we knew him. It must have been ruthless, that explains the bruises. Now he's afraid, afraid he has to go back, panicking because he doesn't know what to do. Would there be others that got treated like him, and needed to be saved? Should he fight with us, but facing everyone that hurt him? The memories are coming back when he talks about Alius.' Everything made sense now. 'Poor guy,' Shawn mumbled. The others just stayed silent, poor guy indeed.
