Shawn had gone crazy, there was no other way to put it. Practicing against Epsilon seemed to be a fantastic idea, especially with Dvalin as a keeper and Zel as a striker. Or Dave and Zeke, as they now called themselves. They were incredibly strong.

But Shawn's shot got stopped without Dvalin's great hissatsu. He only used Wormhole to contain Eternal Blizzard, and orange-eyed Shawn snapped. He collapsed after he screamed furiously, and once he'd woken up, he didn't speak. Aphrodi checked on him every five seconds, but even he didn't know what to do with Shawn.

Then there was Jordan, who finally accepted the fact that he had to rest for a while. That didn't mean he stopped whining though.

"I'm bored," he sighed from the couch while I was putting on my uniform. "I know, sweetie," I returned. As much as I liked him, it was getting annoying. "Do you know what they make me do? I have to move my arms around a bit, and they call that 'recovery'. On what planet is that useful?"

"I'm sure it'll work," I replied. After I gave him a kiss on his forehead and turned around to leave, I heard him sigh one more time. "Have fun, little human," he said before I shut the door. I wasn't sure why he called me that.

"Alright everyone, we all know why we're here. We have to find Axel somewhere on this island, so I suggest that we split up. If we do our best, we'll find him."

If it's Axel at all.

Nobody else seemed to think that, they all cheered at Mark's words. Almost everyone, I missed Jude's voice. I looked behind me and saw the boy with a frown. "You think it might not be Blaze too, huh," I said quietly. He hummed just loud enough for me to hear it. We watched the others chat happily.

"Axel might have a lot of fire in his football techniques, but he certainly isn't the only one," Jude mumbled, "besides, how did we get this information anyway?" I nodded. "Are we going to tell them?" He shook his head. "No, let them be excited for a moment. We'll see what happens."

And so I explored the island with Nathan and Jude.

"Isn't it amazing? We're finally going to see Axel back," Nathan said with a big smile on his face. "Very," I answered at the same time as Jude. His voice wasn't enthusiastic, at least I tried a bit. "Hey, what's the matter, Judie? Don't you like Axel?" He plastered a smile on his face. "Of course I do, but I do question some things." The blue-haired boy tilted his head. "Don't you wonder how we got this information?" Nathan shook his head. "Detective Smith told us, don't worry."

"But who told detective Smith?"

We didn't discuss it anymore, we were too busy searching. After asking locals about the rumours, we only got one, discouraging answer. An elementary scholar claimed to have seen a guy with red hair who had 'the biggest fire tricks in the entire universe.'  No Axel. Our moods were ruined, not even a slushie could fix it.

"Oh God," Nathan muttered under his breath when he looked at his phone. "What is it?" He showed his screen, it said seven missed called from Bobby. I had a hard time stopping myself from hitting him.

"Bad news," Bobby sighed when we called him back. "It's not him, is it," Nathan said disappointed. I could almost hear him shake his head. "but we found someone else."

"Let me guess, red hair?" There was a silence.

"No," Bobby said confused after a while, "what makes you say that?"

"Nevermind." Bobby continued about how fantastic this flame striker was. Turned out he had black hair, how weird.

"I feel like I know him though, he looks so familiar. Oh well, come see yourself."

We arrived at the team, and even though I couldn't see the player himself, I did remember that voice. Nagging and arrogant, but his way of speaking was odd. Almost as if he talked in dialect. I pushed myself through the team members to see him properly, and then I stared straight into those yellow eyes. How did nobody see this? I opened my mouth to speak, but he gave me the most subtle head shake I had ever seen. He was up to something. Why did he expect me to stay silent, was he this desperate? Lucky for him it worked, I didn't speak.

"Yo, that guy has weird vibes," an unknown person said. I turned around to see a tall surfer. His pink hair was... remarkable. "Hurley's my name," he smiled, and he offered us his hand.

"Oh yeah, almost forgot to introduce you," Mark smiled. I couldn't care less, there were more concerning matters to think about. What on earth was Torch doing here?

Once I returned to Jordan, I had a debate with myself. Should I tell him? Turned out I didn't have to.

"We just met this amazing football player," said Mark with joy. Jordan looked up from his book. "Really?" There was a hint of fascination in his voice. The captain nodded so hard, I thought his head was about to fall off.

"Oh yes. His shot is like lava, and he jumps incredibly high, it's ridiculous!" My boyfriend put on a kind smile. "He sounds as if he's out of this world, that's great." Mark didn't notice the subtle sarcasm in his voice, and so he left as the happiest boy on earth.

"Are you kidding me?" The moment Mark left the room, he began to rant. I bit my lip. "Jor, I just found out half an hour ago." I observed the frustrated Jordan. "So? Why doesn't everyone know?"

"Because he asked me not to tell them." Jordan looked at me as if I was ridiculous. "Just..." he decided not to finish his sentence and took a big breath instead. "What did he say exactly?"

"He said it with his eyes," I said, and the moment I spoke, I heard how absurd that sounded. He looked at me with raised brows, he clearly struggled to find the words. I couldn't blame him.

"In my defense, he also nodded a bit."

"Oh, that makes it better, everything's good now," Jordan almost screamed. Now it was my time to raise a brow, no way he was going to yell at me. The boy dropped his shoulders. "I'm sorry, okay?" He sighed. "I really am." I looked up into those black eyes, filled with concern. "It's alright," I said with a smile. I gave him a soft kiss, and then he finally turned back to his normal self.

"He said it with his eyes," Jordan giggled, "you're adorable." My heart made a little jump, this was the boy I liked. "I wonder what Claude is thinking, he's walking down a dangerous road."

"We'll find out."

Tomorrow he was going to reveal himself. Well, technically it would be Xene. He was going to find out and accuse him of joining Raimon in secret. Torch had it all planned out now. After his reveal, Prominence would play against Raimon to make clear that he was still on Alius' side. He was going to take Yuuka with him and drop her off at the detective's place. That was the moment when Axel felt safe, there was nothing to lose anymore. The striker would be so frustrated by the team's failure, and so he'd join. It was perfect. He put his feet on his desk and sighed satisfied.

"Someone's feeling happy," he heard an icy voice say. Gazel stood leaning in the door opening of his room. "Did nobody ever teach you to knock?" The other alien just threw a ball he held at his head with the tiniest smile. "I don't know what you're up to lately Torch, but it's not good." Prominence's captain threw the ball back, but Gazel caught it easily.

"Please mind your own business, Snowflake." Torch smirked at the other's offended face.

"I know you went to Japan without father's permission." His smile dropped, oh no. Gazel smirked, what a pain in his ass. "Don't worry Sizzle, I'll keep my mouth shut." Torch snorted when he heard his old nickname, and now Gazel really laughed. It had been a long time. The player looked at the ball in his hand.

"One against one match?" Torch grinned when Gazel asked him that "Prepare yourself, Snowflake."

"Sizzle please, don't make me laugh."
