Right after the weird events, we got more awful news. 'The aliens are attacking other schools as well,' coach Hillman announced. Unfortunately, my strange adrenaline kick from fifteen minutes ago was gone, and everyone, including me, was pissed. 'And I got informed that they are at Umbrella Jr. High right now.' We all looked at each other for a second, before jumping onto the bus.
We arrived just in time, the eleven creatures were about to attack the soccer team. 'Wait!' Mark shouted, and for some reason, the captain of the Aliens smiled. 'Looks like you wanna play instead of these cowards,' he smirked. 'That's right!' Nathan tried to make the Umbrella team feel less terrible, and the other managers were talking about how afraid they were that the team would lose. Like that would help the situation.
'Okay,' Mark said once on the field. 'I'm Mark, captain of Raimon, how do you call yourselves?' The way too confident boy narrowed his eyes. 'We are from... the Alius academy and this team is Gemini Storm. And I am Janus. Now, enough with the chattering, let's play.'
Tension, there was so much tension. My stomach did some weird flips, I was nervous to say at least. 'Wanna bet?' I asked Celia. 'I think we'll lose with 1-6, how about you?' Her eyes widened. 'I am not going to bet, the boys have to play against some school called Alius! You're insane.' I shrugged. 'I prefer the term different.' Sylvia sweatdropped, and I honestly didn't get why. Then I heard the whistle.
'Ohh, Dragonfly rushes to the other side of the field, but the aliens aren't moving an inch!'
I fell in fear off the bench. 'When did you get here?' I asked the reporter startled. I got totally ignored, but thanks to Chester my ass hurt. I sat down again and focused on the match. 'Dragon Break!' For a second I thought we'd score, but then Janus stopped it with his knee. He smirked and the ball hit his foot. From that moment on I couldn't see it anymore. It took me a while to realize it was laying in the net. 'I-I've never seen such a fast shot,' Willy stuttered. The boy was right, Mark didn't even have time to react. 'Gemini Storm scored!' I sighed, we didn't need Chester's comments to see that. 'Don't worry guys, the game just started, it can still go in all directions,' Mark said encouragingly. The disgusting green-haired guy chuckled. 'I believe that here on earth is a saying, barking dogs seldom bite.' I clenched my teeth, that asshole was incredibly annoying. If he wouldn't be so scary I'd slap him in his face.
An alien called Diam shot, again and again, leaving Mark tired into the goal. I observed the game, the ball was impossible to see, only in the beginning there was a flinch of white. Wait, I knew how to stop the shot! The alien shot again. 'One, tw-' then it turned invisible. One and a half seconds and ten meters further before it became unstoppable. I wasn't too worried about it, Jude would see it in no time. So I thought.
The first half was over and they could barely walk, poor guys. 'We can't continue like this,' Nelly mumbled, 'this is impossible.' Mark shook his head. 'We will fight until the end!' Then he placed his finger under his chin. 'But how are we going to defend and score?' I gritted my teeth. 'I don't know,' Jack said. I sighed, idiots. 'I haven't been able to figure out how to stop their shots,' Jude added.
'I have never seen a display of such idiocy in my life.' Everyone faced me. 'What did you say?' I smiled. 'Isn't it obvious? The ball has to be stopped before you can't see it anymore.' Kevin sighed. 'Yes, but that happens way before the goal.' I raised my brow. 'Don't you have feet? One and a half seconds and ten meters, that's all you have.' Jude smirked. 'You are right, we must try this.'
'Okay, the second half begins, how will Raimon react to this hopeless situation?' Not well. They were slow, way too slow. When there was an attack Jack and I made eye contact, and then I caught him counting. 'He stopped it! Jack Wallside managed to stop Diam's shot with his wall!' I was proud to say at least. 'JACKIE, WELL DONE!' Mark yelled happily. I heard someone snort, Janus.
'Morons,' he mumbled. Of course, he just had to ruin our little victory. Once again I observed the Gemini Storm captain. He had so much confidence, it was just scary.
'You have to admit he's cute though,' I told Nelly at the worst moment possible, it was completely silent. Gemini Storm looked at me with shock, Raimon on the other hand just sighed. 'Not again,' Todd whined. 'Why can't I just give my opinion?' He sighed. 'You've done this before. By Joseph King, David Samford, that ninja from Shurigen and even Byron.' I shook my head. 'No, I never even mentioned ninja boy.' Then I saw the crimson color on Janus' cheeks, and I couldn't help but laugh.
'Enough, let's play!'
