The game pt.2

Five minutes later we started, and Chester started yelling again. 'Whooo, what's happening? The team manager Rhona is wearing a Raimon tenue! Is she trying to impress her lover? And why is Sharp standing in the defence? This can become interesting.' The look on Janus face was the best. He looked like a pop-eyed toy from one of those claw machines at the fun fair. But soon he began to chuckle. 'Like this would make a difference. I believe there is a saying that goes, A fool's paradise.' I clenched my fists. He was so dead.

When I heard the whistle, Bobbie, Tori and Todd raced to the other side of the field, as promised. 'What is happening? Alius is going to attack but half of the team is rushing to the other side, just like Dragonfly! What are they up to?'

Jude and Nathan ran behind Tori, who stood now between them. 'Okay Tori, you know what to do right?' She nodded. Tori rushed to the woman with the purple hair and while she was distracted, I took the ball. I shot it to Todd, who dribbled forward with it, but unfortunately lost it. I quickly ran to help him, but failed. 'Aaah, too bad, though it looks like the team has improved. This game can still go in all directions, and I'm sitting on the edge of my chair.' When I turned around I saw Janus looking frustrated at the ground. 'Not bad human, but don't get your hopes up. We are from Alius academy, and we never lose.'

Two midfielder stormed in my direction, passing the ball to Janus. I nodded to Jude, and Nathan and he both ran back a little. 'What is going on? Janus is running faster than ever to the other half of the field, but they run back.' He grinned. 'Running away? You should, because here is my Astro Break!' they both ran to the ball, at the same pace. The boys clenched their teeth, it was no surprise that it hurt. The power became less, and the two looked each other in the eyes. They shot it back. 'Woooooow, the Astro Break has been stopped! Jude Sharp and Nathan Swift didn't even use a striker, this is incredible!' It went all the way to Eric, who got enclosed by two players. He didn't seem to get out of it, but apparently he figured something out, and even created a striker. 'Flame dance,' he screamed, and the ball crossed the line. 'What a beautiful interception! The game of Raimon has been lifted to a whole different level!' Then I looked at him. Janus had his fists clenched, and looked a bit afraid. 'Aw, I told you we'd win.' He glanced at me, furious. 'We are still winning.' He said it at the same time Kevin scored. His Dragon Crash had improved. The team gasped. 'WE SCORED AGAINST ALIUS!' Everyone, including me was happy, until Shawn had to ruin it. 'The game isn't over yet, I only have to make the winning goals.' What's wrong with him?

Gemini decided to play rough, Bobbie got kicked in his stomach with the ball, and then Jack. This went on and on, until the girl with the purple hair wanted to do the same to me. I mentally prepared for the pain, but it never came. My eyes became big, d-did he just- 'What a surprise, Janus intercepts the ball from his own team member, and rescued Rhona from the torture. Has the ice cold heart of the alien melted?' My eyes met his for a second, but then he rushed to the front. Luckily Nathan could stop him.

Once they kicked off, I rushed forwards to Bobbie, who passed the ball to Kevin. 'Rhona DiLauris is rushing to the other half of the field, wow that girl is fast! But why is she leaving the defence?' Kevin passed me the ball, finally. 'Wait, is this girl planning on scoring?' I giggled and shot the ball in the air. I jumped after it and repeated the move I had been practicing for a week. I saw the horns appearing, and the face became clearer. 'Once upon a dream,' she whispered. 'Maleficent!' I kicked it in the direction of the goal. 'Black Hole.' When my feet touched the ground I saw the ball laying in the goal, including the keeper. 'Two against two!' I heard the team cheer, this was amazing! 'You did it!' Eric yelled happy. I giggled. 'I have to admit that it was unexpected, but yay!'

Janus avoided a few players when he ran towards us, but then I stood in front of him, with the intention to stop his attack. We just stared at each other, both not moving. I couldn't help it and checked him out once again. He glared at me, not sure what to do. 'Rihm,' he said and tried to pass the ball to the pink haired alien. But he missed, the ball rolled six meters next to her and Bobbie intercepted it.

A few minutes later I had it and wanted to go around him, but again we had eyecontact. His beautiful, sparkly eyes standing confused. I tried to shoot the ball over him with my heel, but it landed on Janus' head instead. He gave me a dead glare and the robot guy took it. 'OOOH, something weird is going on between Janus and DiLauris. Why are they losing the ball?'

'How could this happen? This can't be true.' Janus looked at another player. 'Diam, we're going to do it.' They rushed to our side of the field, I could barely see them. 'Universe Blast!' I didn't have time to react, but luckily Jack and Tori defended the goal, though it still broke through them. Mark did his Majin The Hand, and after ten seconds of trying, he got it.

'That's impossible!' Janus screamed terrified. 'Okay,' Mark said happily, 'Let's score!' And we did, with Shawn his Eternal Blizzard. Then we heard the whistle. 'We, we actually won from the aliens,' Bobbie said shocked. 'We wohohon!' Mark yelled, and so did the others.
