"your mom seems fun." i say walking into his office again a large grin on my face.

"sit down." he says making me look at him smirking. i  walk over to his desk and sit down on his chair kicking up my feet making him sigh,

"pleaase gracie."he says closing his eyes making me sigh. i pull my feet off the desk and stand up goin to sit on the sofa.

"alec whats up?" i asks him as he slowly walks and sits down nxt to me.

"its my mother.....she can be very....strict."he says slowly making me look at him confused.

"so?" i ask looking at him.

"we cant be messing around today"he says making me look at him confused.

"you mean you want me to stay big all day."i mutter looking down.

"no sweetheart." he says straight away putting a finger under my chin making me look up at him." i want you to be however old you want to be...but you need to behave." he says making me nod.

"okay alec." i say nodding just as the door to his office is open.

" we need you."jace says looking at alec. he nods and gets up looking at me making me nod and push any werid feelinsg away before getting up and fowlloing them,

"You're the acting head of this Institute. If there's a diplomatic mission, you should go."jace says walking down the steps."Let's switch assignments."he says making me look at him like he's crazy.

after seeing there mom this morning hell no.

"Nope. This time I'm actually gonna obey orders, and babysit this monster and your girlfriend"alex says grabbing my arm as i go to touch something .

"Clary? She's more like my responsibility."jace says making me scoff and look at him.

"rude." i say rolling my eyes.

"Hey, you'll keep an eye on her, right?"jace says stopping alec from moving by grabbing my hand since alec has a hold of my arm. 

but alec moves jaces hand off me straight away making me frown.

"What is wrong with you?"jace asks looking at alec confused.

"ive been saying the same thing all morning..." i mutter shrugging off alec's hand."are you an alien?" i ask him starring at him seriosuly.

"what? no....i um...ummm..."alec stutters before he looks at me making me frown."you have every right to be mad at me..."he says making me look at him confused.

"alec whats going on?" i ask confused.

"at magnus's.....ummm...we had to give a memory ummm..."he says making me look at him confused.

"thats whats wrong?"jace asks looking at alec a smirk on his face.

alec rolls his eyes.

"forget it...its not a big deal"alec says walking away making me look down at myself still confused.

"did i do something?" i ask jace looking at him.he smiles at me and shakes his head.

"you've done abosuletely nothing wrong....go after him."he says smiling at me so i race after alec.

"alec...." i say making him stop and look at me."i can wait for you to tell me...no rush."i say making him take a deep breath and nod.

"lets go."he says turning back around and walking over to the main room again this time though we go into the training room where clary is stood with a stick.
